This has little to do with Clay and Ruben, at this point.  It only briefly did, tbh.  This thread started by a few (well informed) members of this board, myself included, stating that the show wouldn't sell (which has been objectively proven true).  This thread has turned into being about the blatant lies you've told about your production.  You've told OVER a dozen lies about it.  Just like... straight up, fact checked, unobjective lies.  

You aren't the victim, MassiveMeGo.  You're a liar and you're the bad guy of this thread.  You just happen to be a bumbling villain who can't stop tripping over their own cape... which is why it's been fun to watch you handcuff yourself to the steering wheel and then driving your truck of lies off a clift.  

Your help to this production, MassiveMeGo, is like watching the Coyette try to catch/outsmart the Road Runner.

Hi everyone! I’m a new poster, and I have been lurking for a long time and I want to say something. MassiveMego, tons of people who are not members lurk these boards each day since this is a theatre community. My family and I were planning on buying tickets for this show as I am a big Clay fan! (Loved him on American Idol) However, due to how unorganized your “production” sounds, we have decided to take the kids to see The Lion King.

I made an account and decided to post to just say this; word does get around in the theatre community, you may not be doing it intentionally but you are sabotaging this show.

By insulting someone who wanted to buy a ticket only to be driven off by YOU?

You are a failure.  Your show is a failure.  And you'll never work on Broadway again.

"massivemego" is clearly involved with the production.  The photo he posted from "load in" was originally posted on facebook by the associate projection designer.

We already know this.  Why do we continue to engage?  I mean it started out as funny, but now I feel sadder for all the people on the message board than I do for massivemego.

Does his profile name not make it clear?  He has a massive ego.  youre just adding fuel to the fire by engaging with him.  I dont think he's told ANY lies. I  dont think he REALIZED he was lying.....  Clearly hes an ill informed member of the production team, and doesn't understand how TDF works, what Play-by-play is, how show-score works, etc.

CLEARLY this is gonna flop.  we know this.  but why burst his bubble!  the ticket sales are going to do that on their own, we dont need to help.

 

I wish Ruben and Clay nothing but the best.  I DO believe in a 3 year contract.  I DO believe the show will sell better on the road, than it does in NYC. but SOMETIMES you make the decision to allow a show that will flop to play broadway, in order to sell it across the country..... (head over heels anyone?  gettin the band back together?)

That massole never intended to see the show. He just joined the board so he could dig the knife just a bit deeper.

Well, this has been fun, hasn't it? Unfortunately, we have ventured so far afield from the topic at hand, that it is now little more than people attacking each other. For that reason we are going to lock this thread. If anyone would like to start a new thread to specifically talk about the show, they are welcome. As long as it doesn't devolve into the same arguments, it will have no problem staying open.

Looking at Telecharge, the houses for this continue to be beyond abysmal.

Maybe a quarter of the house is sold for the Saturday evening before Christmas, which should be their prime time to get an audience. And that's how it looks pretty much any performance you look at.

The house tonight only has solidified in the last few hours- almost certainly because of rock-bottom prices and papering.
