Ruben and Clay sold more tickets than Springsteen!
Spinning: also, more tickets than Head over Heels, Choir Boy, The New One and Torch Song.

It was without a doubt, one of the most exuberant productions I’ve ever experienced and was a critical success. However, it is still rightfully considered to be a flop because it struggled at the box office and didn’t recoup.

Isn't the capacity of the Walter Kerr just under a thousand? So how does an AVERAGE of 562 tix sold a night = a sell out at the Kerr? (Even the Hayes seats more than 562 - although not much - it still would NOT be a sell out.)
The producers would prefer a financial success. It's their money.

How do you know the producers consider it a success? And please give me their contact information, because I know a small theatre company that could use some of the money that the Producers seem all too happy with part with.

I'm guessing MassiveMeGo is conceding that this was a show that shouldn't have been in a Broadway theatre?

Nope not saying that. I'm saying that the 4,500 seats sold this week at smaller theaters would have been a sold out show.

And I've just shown you that that's not true.

There are no current Broadway theatres where 562 tickets would be a sold out show. So, the "smaller theatres" would have to be other than Broadway theatres.

Oh so the collective you hates the show because I don't hate it? Gotcha.
