Thanks!

Unfortunately, going to have to wait until public on sale for mezz tickets. With $159 being the lowest price point, that's too steep for me at the moment especially with a new play and unknown cast. Didn't pay that much for Prima Facie tickets with Comer.

$159 per ticket is a ridiculous money grab on the producers' part. It's an 80 minute straight play with four actors and one set (unless they really go all out with the musical numbers). Unless it's an all-star cast I can't imagine paying anywhere near that much. I would wait until the "Audience Rewards Presale" is over. It's a good play but there is a limited audience for it and I'm sure there will be tickets available for half that price once it opens.

Are you thinking of a different show? This play really hasn't been "done to death". It was written in 2015 and has MOSTLY been produced once/twice a year in trial / workshop style productions, for not very long runs.

Eager to learn about casting too. With Chavkin in the lead, I hope we see Lucas Steele back on stage. He might fit the Jaxton character mold.

Like Baritone pointed out, it's been done a LOT regionally in a pretty short amount of time. But considering the regional productions were presumably attended by completely different audiences from each other, it doesn't seem like anyone would be tired of it yet. Although it's true they might not feel as much of an urgent need to see it, if they recently saw it - or will see it soon - in their hometown. And that could be a true of a lot of people's hometowns (including NYC, since it played here recently)

But I'm guessing there are plenty of NYC theatre-goers who missed it at Playwrights Horizons - enough to fill the tiny Hayes reasonably well, at least, but maybe not at those full prices.

Unless the high prices indicate that they do actually have some big names lined up - we'll see, I guess.

That list has left out more than 10 equity productions of TP that have been produced in the last year.

It was one of the ten most produced plays in 2019, and that list certainly showcases that.

I've seen several very good productions and would happily sit through another if the cast was interesting, but Chavkin alone doesn't make this enticing for me considering how often opportunities to see this play roll around. Although, I am curious what Chavkin will bring to the table considering the show is modern day stylized contemporary realism

Ahh interesting, I didn't know that. My apologies Falsettolands.

It's still happening. First preview is March 23rd.

As for the casting - I'm curious too, but I guess they're not in any hurry since they figure they'll get their subscriber base into the house either way. Even when 2nd Stage has big stars they don't show much interest in pushing them in the marketing. Also possible that they don't have any stars for this, so they figure no one really would really care to know the casting this early. We'll find out when we find out I guess.

Really want to see this play but waiting for casting. These tickets aren't cheap. Great theater and intimate but c'mon announce casting already

Competition is so tough for plays right now and between A DOLL'S HOUSE, GOOD NIGHT OSCAR, FAT HAM and PRIMA FACIA - they have to know that to generate ticket sales they need to have a solid cast. Think Uzo in CLYDES and Jesse in TAKE ME OUT
