I think we should all start bracing for the possibility that this won’t be an all-star cast. It might be a cast of well-equipped theatre actors, like the ones who played these roles Off-Broadway.
If that happens, then I worry that the actors will become the unfair targets of disappointment. If we get a non-famous cast, they’re likely the best actors for the roles, and we were never promised anything more.
I also don’t necessarily think this play needs star casting. Although, given the ensemble nature of the play, I think it should be all or nothing; either every role should be a star, or none of them.
I understand people are concerned about the pricing, but in the event that they announce a non-famous cast, there will be all kinds of steep discounts readily available across the various discount services.
Someone previously mentioned that they had a name for this and it fell through so I’d imagine that’s maybe why it is taking so long also they show right now BRAC is doing extremely well so maybe this week as it closes Sunday
Oh wow, the cast looks great! I have tickets for a doubleheader with White Girl in Danger. I watched Scandal so it’ll be super cool to see Scott Foley on stage.
I had no desire to see this until the cast announcement! I would watch Scott Foley in almost anything, and I am interested in seeing D’Arcy and Chris outside their TV roles.
That cast is incredible! So somehow I’m now going to see two Second Stage productions during my May trip. If I’d realized they were going to pull this kind of cast together, I would have gone ahead and bought a subscription package.
