I was thinking that Cyndi Lauper could pull off Fantine, giving the character the sound that they probably wanted with Daphne...

I saw her as Jenny last summer in ThreePenny and I love/can see that idea!!

I can't think of any right now, though I know I have tons and tons, I'm tired.
But how's Cabaret? I'm hoping to see it this weekend.

Sutton Foster as Perta in "A Little Night Music"! However, now I feel that Sutton would only do the role in a Concert Version type form, but since a Revival still hasn't happened, a concert version would be fine with me!

Patti LuPone in both "Annie Get Your Gun" of Mama Rose in "Gypsy". I know she did Ravina, but I would love to see her do it at the Kennedy Center or some place where I could see her on stage. But I think the Kennedy Center would be ideal because "Gypsy" just left broadway and the "Kennedy Center" would allow her the freedom to continue her work from Ravina.
Also I think that Chenowith would make an interesting "Evita". She has the body, the voice and I think she could pull of the character.
Finally, I would love to see Elena Roger as "Evita" on broadway.

Wow, I just started reading Kaye Ballard's book. She actually played Mama Rose twice. Once in Dallas, and once somewhere else.
I was going to say I'd would have liked to see her tackle Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd or Miss Hannigan in Annie.
