I would love to see Saycon Sengbloh as Elphaba. Except on the day that I go see WICKED.
On the day that I go see it (sometime in March), it had better be Shoshana Bean and Jennifer Laura Thompson. My biggest fear of the theater is seeing the board that says "The role of ... will be played by ..." or having the dreaded white slip fall out of my Playbill.
But after I see WICKED once, then I'm okay with getting an understudy/standby. And I would love to see Saycon.
Um, I dont know how long ago that was posted, about seeing it in March but sorry to tell you, but Jeniffer Laura Tohmpson is already gone, and Shoshana Bean is gone in January.
Just look at the dates on the posts - this is ages old.

She has gone on as Elphaba five times. Twice in March and three times last week.
I was at one of her performances last week. She is really incredible. But, then again, I love seeing different people in the role.
I saw her in Bryant Park yesterday. She was amazing.
I do not like Shoshana's take on the role, and I can't wait until she's gone. I would actually like to see Wicked again if there was a good cast. I would love it if Saycon took over the role in january.
Also, Stacie Morgain Lewis was very good as Glinda.

Saycon truly is amazing. I, too, would be perfectly happy with her taking over full time. However, it's not going to happen. The part is only being offered to Eden Espinosa and Stephanie J. Block.
Shoshana will have the chance to extend if she would like to. But I know for a fact that she will not.
and Ana Gayaster is being offered it as well
Well, I enjoy Stephanie and Eden also. Any of them are better than Shoshana IMO. Maybe Saycon will get to take over part of the tour as Elphaba.
I would love to see Kate Reinders come to Broadway as Glinda once Megan is done with the role.

Really? Who did you hear that from?
I was only told about the two.
If Ana gets the part of Elphaba on Broadway I will refuse to see the show anymore.
Ana is AMAZING in the part, you would be silly not to see it.

Well, I have not heard she was being offered it. I think Marc Platt and David Stone know better than that. They only told me about Espinosa and Block.

Why? I'm sure Ana is amazing in the role and is somewhat of a big name. Why would they "know" better when she is perfectly qualified? Obviously they cast her, so she can't be that bad...

Know better? Why, because Ana is so awful?
Justify.
if either of the three get the part after Shoshana leaves i will definately be buying tickets especially for Stephanie i've heard such good things about her from the people who have seen the tour. But personally either of the three i would be glad to see!
OK guys, stop making stuff up. You really don't have any clue. Ana, as of yet, has no intention of coming to New York. She originated the role in Chicago and is contracted there for another year. Stephanie has been offered the role in New York to take over for Shoshana in January. Eden is already signed on to come back as standby on Broadway once Saycon leaves to do another show (unsure of the date.)
Now stop making stuff up. "The producers told me so!" haha, ok.

I will be disappointed if Eden Espinosa gets the role full-time.
EDIT: Oops. Well, reportedly, she is going to be the standby, says HBP.

I saw Saycon on the 24th...
She sounded like she had a mix of a southern accent...with a British accent.
Weirdest thing I've ever heard.
She was incredible when she belted.
She was weak when she wasn't belting. Baaahhh. (yes, like a sheep).
