Oh, I didn't realize that as there's been no official announcement for the cast. That's an interesting choice given how new musicals usually need a star to survive these days.

She's not to old because while the character is still called Ivy Lynn, it's a very different character than the character in the tv series.

Ivy Lynn is playing Marilyn Monroe who died when she was 36. Robyn Hurder is in her early 40's and from the clip I saw looks too old to me, just my opinion.

So there's a 5 year difference? She doesn't look "too old." She looks great.

Monroe was a big time star in her mid-late 20's which I believe is time period "Bombshell" covered for the most part. Never said Robyn Hurder did not look good, I just personally thought she looked "old" for playing Monroe at the height of her fame. I think McPhee was in her late 20's playing Monroe in SMASH. I believe Hilty was in her early 30's playing Monroe on SMASH. I loved SMASH the TV series even with it's flaws, hope the Broadway show has success.

It certainly is and it sounds like they've already signed for their theatre. They just need the circus to start packing up before they can announce.
