For those who have been recently, how did you find the temperature? I saw some comments a few pages back saying it was on the warm side, or at least not freezing. Is that still the case? I'll be sitting in Orchestra near the front and am trying to plan ahead!

Todays Matinee has been cancelled due to technical difficulties. The show was cancelled after people were already seated for about 30 minutes.

I didn’t have high expectations with the megaphone, but that was really good.

There’s another viral moment for them. This show has managed some pretty impressive organic moments with impact beyond just Broadway Twitter (first curtain call in London, stage door after 1st preview on Broadway, this), so I hope they amplify the hell out of this.

I just have a feeling that Nicole has this award. Yes Audra is great in Gypsy but Nicole's performance at this point is becoming so iconic. A MEGA PHONE NOWWWW??? Even the overly treble megaphone sound feels like a throwback as if her performance of 'With One Look" has been with us since the Judy Garland era.
Patti was raving about Nicole to George Clooney in her recent interview - she is also a Tony voter it seems. Well it seems like she can count on at least one vote, and Jamie Lloyd can another.

I do hope that Nicole takes the Tony. The performance is so singular and a total star is born moment. I’ve been candid that I never bought Audra’s casting and felt the same after seeing it. Murmurs I’ve heard in the industry have also reflected a general indifference to this production of Gypsy.

I have seen this production approximately 15 billion times and as someone who is very sensitive to overly warm temperatures, I can tell you with 100% assurance that this theatre is no warmer or colder than any other Broadway theater.

Ehhh when I’ve sat in the balcony, I’ve had moments of almost uncomfortable heat when the haze effects are maxed out. But orchestra im sure is fine.

Thought this was a really interesting view, from behind the “curtain.” I didn’t realize the cast and crew could see the audience this clearly before the show begins.

I’ve only sat in the balcony once and I was so annoyed I couldn’t see anything that I couldn’t concentrate on anything else. I’ve sat in Mezz most times and orchestra like 3, maybe. Both orchestra and mezz are totally fine.

NYT: No Power? No Problem. Nicole Scherzinger Sings With Bullhorn on Broadway.

Nice free publicity from the NYT right before Tony noms, which should counter the furious cries from some here that the NYT (or just mean, mean Jesse Green?) was trying to sink Nicole's Tony chances. Not sure why this moment "is likely to become Broadway lore" vs. the other moments briefly mentioned (MHE last night, Menzel at Redwood) that didn't warrant their own stories/coverage, but okay.

I think you have to wait quite a few years to see if this becomes "Broadway lore" but okay.

Tell that to Michael Paulson. It was a quote from the article, not a statement from me.

It can also be that Sunset has a better publicist.

The visual of the Scherzinger holding a bullhorn certainly is more memorable than those other situations.

I didn’t enjoy Sunset Blvd. as much as others, but Nicole Scherzinger sang the hell of the score and sounded surprisingly great with that bullhorn. Plus, as Kad notes, the visual is great.
The publicists even found a local who wasn’t too disappointed about missing the actual show for Paulson to quote, unless he happened to be walking by the theater as people were leaving.
Good on them for making lemonade out of the situation.

Does anyone care what Jesse Green thinks? Her critic picks are worthless .
