Something with Nicole really clicked for me tonight. I’d previously seen the show so I think going in this time knowing what I was gonna get, I think I could see the overall arch of her choices and character and it was really gorgeous. And the staging just gets better and better for me.
My only complaint was the ensemble - both times - have come off as vocally meh. Like they sound good together but all the solos feel so underwhelming. Maybe it’s because Nicole is giving such a crazy vocal performance but no one else on that stage comes across as vocally interesting? Just a thought. Maybe it’s a choice.

Has anyone seen the prices of tickets for the final performance? $800 for back of Orchestra??? Wild. I'm happy that people consider the show so valuable enough to pay that kind of money but it truly is ridiculous we have to admit haha.

They did reach as high as a little over $1k the day of the announcement. I watched the row where I am sitting go from 259 to 899 before all sold.

Not shocking considering what "Othello" and "Good Night..." were charging though. Especially since people had ample opportunities to get tickets at far more reasonable prices.

Per his Instagram stories, Tom lost his singing voice and is out today. Working with his doctors to return ASAP.

Hi,
Are they still selling the souvenir programme in the theatre?
Went to buy one via the merch section on Sunset website, but it's not listed there any more!
Thanks!

Tom Francis will play his final performance on July 6.
Pierre Marais will play Joe from July 8 until the end of the Broadway run.

They got some seriously beautiful men to play Joe in this revival and I, for one, think that’s fantastic.

“Francis, who is departing the show due to a previously announced professional commitment,”
Seems unusual they didn’t announce this along with the extension announcement, especially if they knew this was coming.

Tom is admittedly navigating some vocal issues it seems, so previous engagement or not, it may be best that he departs before the production closes to protect his instrument. Seeing the show a third and final time this week, and I would love to see Tom again but having seen him twice, I wouldn’t hate seeing Pierre.
I do believe that Tom is just as impactful here as Scherzinger, and wish he had won the Tony, but alas. A very talented man, and I wish him well.

Impactful… ok… I can believe that. However, let’s not kid ourselves. Vocal issues is the reason he’s leaving? Girl, please. He held out until right after the Tony’s to announce he’s leaving the show. He got nominated, didn’t win, and he’s leaving.

I thought Tom has a tv gig. Sad he won’t be closing the show out with Nicole, but to each their own. Wish they got someone else for Joe

Riiight. It couldn't possibly because he booked a movie that was announced two months ago and is leaving on the show's original end date.

He's finishing out his contract and leaving to do a film he has signed on to. This isn't about a Tony LMAO.

Patti was not cancelled, and Audra did not win this time around. Time to move on.

He has had vocal issues through the entire run. "Let's not kid ourselves." Your statement is past being ridiculous.
The show was originally going to close on July 6th which was the length of his contract.
Sorry it doesn't work with the narrative you were trying to create.

The closing just became a non-event for me, and I'll be getting rid of my ticket.

I saw Pierre this past Saturday evening and he’s a sensational Joe. Any one who sees him is in for a treat.

Oh, the sheer stupidity of what you have presented is astonishing. Maybe you should write children's' books?

I still think it is going to be a great closing performance and wouldn't miss it.
