Or maybe she just saw the show without any pretense?
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."

I'm sure she's a big enough name that she could have a new musical written for her or a new revival produced around her instead of being shunted into the replacement cast of a tourist musical.

Why can't a celebrity just go see a show?
A work of art is an invitation to love.

Are there any horse roles for her in Addams Family?

She and Nathan are friends, she could have just been there to see him. Most likely.

She probably promised him to see him in the show before he leaves...and he is leaving the production today. I feel bad for her to have to endure that disaster because of a friendship. LOL!

i saw her in the audience of billy elliot once.
and i saw david hyde pierce at next to normal.
obviously, they were doing research for the revivals they're starring in two decades from now. (eye roll)

I saw Joan Rivers at Spring Awakening. She was doing the Touch Me choreo in her seat...
It's the music and I'm its hapless victim

my friend sat next to her and Matthew Broderick at the Roundabout revival of 1776 so they were clearly doing research to play Abigail and John, respectively.

(Actually, at one point in the show, Gomez talks about his Great Uncle Julio who married his horse... they could be writing a part in for her.)

Sarah Jessica Parker loves Broadway so she very well may have just been attending the show for fun. I read somewhere that she was at the first preview of Spider-Man and left at intermission.

She could join the Young Frankenstein tour as one of the horses.
I think she can sing the **** out of Black'n, but Decker is a part she can really sink her teeth into...

Hilary and Bill Clinton saw Next to Normal, obviously they're going to be in the revival.
For those who thought NEXT TO NORMAL wouldn't have a life outside Broadway, well it's now playing in 4 cities, 9 different countries and has been translated into 6 languages.

I doubt it, the Lunt-Fontanne stage isn't big enough to have her nose on stage.

She has said many times that she would not consider Broadway again while her children were small. Since her hubby was at opening night to support his friend, she probably just got a chance to see it before Nathan left.

The Obamas have gone to the theatre quite a bit...I guess the girls are going to be stepping into the Billy Elliot ensemble with Michelle as Mrs. Wilkinson. Or maybe they will alternate as Billy!
And George H. W. and Barbara Bush go to Ogunquit Playhouse all the time--so I guess it's about time for an Ogunquit revival of On Golden Pond starring some of America's favorite republicans!
Also, it just dawned on me.....I went to a Broadway show, one, maybe 2, maybe 20+ times.....so I will be expecting a call from the producers to offer me a role!

Celebrities go to see shows all the time without wanting to be in whatever show they went to see or the producers wanting them in it.
No doubt she just wanted to see her dear friend Nathan in one of his finest roles.

I saw Angela Lansbury in the audience during God of Carnage. Just Kidding but would pay quite a bit to see her play Veronica.

I heard George W. is actually going to be Georges in La Cage. Chris Sieber is just a stand in until Bush is ready.

When I went to see NOVEMBER a few seasons ago, in the audience along with me sat Mel Brooks, Marian Seldes, Don Rickles and David Schwimmer. Obviously, they were gearing-up to take to President Smith, Clarice Bernstein, Dwight Grackle and Archer Smith once the original company left...
