An inspired choice indeed, especially given how the show's ensemble and premise play around with the gender of the patrons/club dancers. HOWEVER, my issue here is that their voice can, at times, be a bit thin and reedy, and the amount of singing that goes into this role requires some pipes and a lot of stamina, so I'm skeptical.
Yeah, I don't want her anywhere near the part, she doesn't have the voice. A young woman with stamina and a very strong voice around Aaron's age would be just fine.
I LOVE Heather Headley, but she's really not right for the role.
I'd add another vote for MJ Rodriguez.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

I sadly have to agree...she was basically sleep walking when I saw her in Bodyguard
This is sort of on topic, sort of not — have we heard anything about how long we expect Aaron to stay? Going to NY in March and wondering if he'd still be there.

Many actors returning to shows they opened in the 2019-2020 season are going to be on a 6 month contract. I think you'd be fine for March. Then again, nothing about their dates are publicized so it could change.

OMG MJ Rodriguez PLEASE!!!!!"

That being said, I would like MJ Rodriguez to appear in more theatre. I'd love to see her as either a Roxie in Chicago (in Dreamland - with Laverne Cox or Dominique Jackson as Velma) or as Jenna in "Waitress"."
Side Bar: With WAITRESS coming back and Sara Bareilles only doing part of the run, now I can actually hope for MJ Rodriguez as Jenna!

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not, but there's no universe in which Laura, "perfect-princess ingenue", Osnes is in any way, shape, or form, right for this role. I'm all for unique casting choices that might surprise us, but this is not one of them.
Maybe out of left field here, T.V. Carpio would be interesting

This just popped into my head: Erika Hunter. Great voice, woc (if that’s a requirement), and has dated Aaron for years so they’d likely play off each other amazingly well.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

Ericka is in the ensemble and covers Arabia and La Chocolat. I think it’s highly unlikely they’d bump her up to Satine without even covering it first.

Are you being sarcastic? Because Laura has range and to insult her for whatever reason is unnecessary.
