I never said it isn't a fun show. I think it is, and I was smiling during most of it. That doesn't mean I don't think it has major flaws.

Had and understudy for Hart, Michael X. Martin, who started off bland but got better. The rest of the cast was phenomenal, just amazing. Hilty and Block really deserved nominations, such great performances. ANd SPencer Liff- Wow! What a dancer. Couldn't keep my eyes off him the whole time, and if i wasn't mistaken, he winked at me during the performance and curtain call- made me very happy
Really just a fun afternoon at the theatre- definitely making a return trip!

Stephanie and Megan are fantastic as usual, but Allison sounds fantastic on 'One of the Boys', which is one of the best tracks on the recording.
Can't wait to get to the city to see the show!

Stephanie can belt the s*** out of any song! And Megan was so adorable! From what i had heard from Alison i was kind of expecting not to like her singing very much but i was pleasently surprised! and marc was just awful! In a good way! He was so slimmy and creapy! haha but soo talented! :)
I got the cast recording and cant stop listening :)

He tried to downplay it, explaining that most shows switch over after awhile but really what else could he have done? You don't want to worry your star and you don't want to suggest the show's not doing as well as it could at the stagedoor.
I'll echo the sentiment that I really enjoyed the show. I saw Hair and Next to Normal the day before I saw 9 to 5 (and those two put together create a theatre high) but 9 to 5 is a really lovely escape and not without merit.

I'm a huge fan of the show, I hope it pulls in better numbers ASAP, but I am guessing an October/early November closing unless it miraculously (and hopefully!!) turns around.
That's my two cents, but two cents can't buy you anything.

The thing about color versus black and white playbills, is it is thousands of marketing dollars used on the playbills that could be used elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I love color playbills as much as the next fan. The lack of color may not indicate a lack of money, but the hope to better use that money to market outside of the already paying audience.
Again, two cents can buy you two pennies.
