Is anyone else dying for this show like me?
I'm a huge monty python fan. I'd see it in chicago but then i wouldn't be able to see it on broadway. Once tickets go on sale im buying. If i get lucky enough for opening night i'd die with happiness.

Let's quote the python:

I'm VERY excited about Spamalot. I won't be able to see it on Broadway but I AM seeing it in Chicago...I CANT WAIT!! It's even more exciting that Douglas Sills will be in it.
It's SpamAlot.
And I wouldn't say I am "dying" to see it, but I am curious as to what it would be like, so I wouldn't mind seeing it.

im really looking forward to seeing the cast--not really the show
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I can't wait. I'm actually watching this movie right now. For literally the 45th time. I counted. WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!
My two greatest loves...Monty Python and Broadway...soon I'll be able to go and sit in a room with a bunch of other people just as crazy me and enjoy BOTH at the SAME TIME. There is nothing greater. Except maybe going and sitting in said room WITH the MP guys.
And then there's the part about Tim Curry/Hank Azaria/David Hyde Pierce/Doug Sills being in the same show.
At first I thought "It might suck. It probably will." If it does, I don't care. But I hear that the book is taken almost in its entirety from the screenplay. Which is good. And it's Eric Idle writing it, so it's not like it's some guy taking the movie and adapting it. It's some guy who wrote a lot of the movie adapting it.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!
P.S.
QFan---I love you, and I hate to be anal. But it's "We're knights of the round table, we dance whene'er we're able" Don't hate me!!!! :)
And if we're going to quote that song...
"Between our quests we sequin vests and impersonate Clark Gable"
OK Bwaybaby... You are scaring me!
Awww...Im sorry Mom...how come?
ok no problem b'waybaby.
we're all fans
Bway... Are you going to be singing along when you see the
show?
Well, it wouldn't be very much fun just SITTING there and trying to keep myself from singing, now would it?
And that's going to be half the fun anyway. Yeah, the show will be fun on its own, but my favorite part will probably be sitting in a theatre full of other crazy people and everyone singing along and reciting lines.

I sure am!
And I have a bunch of friends who don't normally go see musicals to come along with us.
Can't wait!

I'm going to go with everyone I know. Does anyone know a site where I can get info on it?

I'm NOT particularly a Monty Python fan, but I thought I might see this. Silly me, I thought it was an original piece. It is just a re-created MP movie? Which one? I can just rent the movie and save myself a lot of dough.

I am very excited. I too dont know how well it will translate onto the stage. It just wont be the same without the original Monty Pithon members. However, the cast that has been assembled will give the originals a run for their money.
Are they going to throw a real cow onstage?
And how are they going to cut someone's arms and legs off, but let them happily jump around the stage?

And the legs, lol? I don't think someone could hide their own legs in the middle of the stage. I still want to see them throw a cow on the stage.
Just bought my tickets. This is one of the times when I'm glad I live in Chicago. I'm starting off the new year well! Tix for 1/1/2005!
Can't wait!!!
