Since Pippin seems to be a no-go- would you take your kids to Newsies or Spiderman?
Can you tell I'm not overly thrilled to see Spiderman?

Newsies.
Do you want your kids to experience b'way or a spectacle? Theater or an adventure park? Go with your gut -- Spidey is not worthy.

Haven't seen Spiderman, but I loved Newsies. The musical improved a lot on the movie. It has several really fun and impressive dance numbers. On the other hand-A lot of kids do seem to love the spectacle of Spiderman.
Just saw your other post: If all of the kids want to see Spiderman, unless you have objections to the show, it's probably going to be in YOUR best interest to take them to Spiderman.

The kids want to see Spider-Man.
Take the poor kids to see Spider-Man.
The next time you visit, you can make them sit through Newsies.
A comic book hero battles evil or a Depression-era newsboy strike? Which one do you think your kids will enjoy more?

Posted: 7/22/13 at 11:07amIf you're willing to spend a little time before the show giving them some context about what Newsies is about, it could be both an enjoyable experience as well as a bit of an education about history and people who are not as fortunate growing up as your kids might be. Spiderman is the easier choice but Newsies might be the richer experience.

well I have seen it from Mez and Orchestra, and the mez seats were better for some of the scenes. It also sounds better up in the mez.
*******Spoiler Alert+++++++
when they project the Brooklyn bridge if you are in the mez it "feels" like you are on the bridge too.
