Jersey Boys in SF has signed playbills & posters. And during the speech, Deven May (Tommy) asks "Do you take IOUs?" and Erich (Bob) is all "NO!"
It's very adorable.
Long live BC/EFA!!!

Phantom has the following:
Signed posters (original artwork or longest running show artwork) for $40 each
CDs: Howard McGillin's Where Time Stands Still (signed) and a CD of all the Phantoms singing they're favorite love songs. $20 each
Phantom cookbooks $10
Aids or breast cancer awareness pins with Phantom mask $10 each
At certain performances Shawn Michael Lewis(Raul) signs autographs for donations.
I'm not sure if other Phantom stars will be doing this, but I'll find out and let it be known.
The cast seems very committed to raising lots of money. It makes me feel great just helping out.

We will be visiting April 6-15th and attending 13 shows so I want to be prepared for all the wonderful offerings.
Any input on the offerings of these shows would be greatly appreciated:
Drowsy Chaperone
Hairspray
Mama Mia
Jersey Boys
Chorus Line
Wicked
Tarzan
Mary Poppins
Also, do shows that start out in previews but open during collection time participate.... Pirate Queen, Curtains and Legally Blonde?
Thanks so much for any help.... also, if anyone knows a great place for Easter Brunch (something special as I have an 11 yr old daughter)please pass that info along as well.

No, shows that are still in previews don't do collections.

Posters were $50 and Playbills were $20. Yesterday Taylor Sternberg (swing & 2nd u/s for Frankie) was selling them. It was way cute.

at les miz today they were offering an entire cast signed poster for $50. not bad at all.
i love bc/efa. my school does a lot of work with it, we just raised.. $7,067.35 (i believe) at our gala at variety show and silent auction for from ribbon donations this year. =)
we were the first HS to start doing this and began the high school chapter of bc/efa! we have a contact with joe norton up at broadway cares and our thespian officers&cabinet come to the flea market in september every year.
it's such a great cause, i'm a huge supporter, personally.
hopefully, if i go to school in the city like i want to *knocks on wood and crosses fingers* i will be able to volunteer on a more regular basis!
"actual reality, act up, fight AIDS!"
amen!

I was at Tarzan today. They are offering a signed poster by the cast and taking any donations they can get into buckets at the end of the show. I don't remember what else they mentioned. Also for $20 you could get your picture taken with Josh in costume as well.

On Sunday when I saw Curtains, they didn't mention anything.
However, when I went Wednesday, I saw some people with the huge window poster of Curtains and I think it was signed, not sure. And I don't remember them selling the posters.
Producers was collecting donations outside its doors and selling signed playbills and posters.
Besides Tarzan, what are shows that allow you to take a picture with a member of the cast for a $20 donation?

Shows in previews don't do the Equity pleas.
Hence, Curtains, Pirate Queen, Inherit the Wind, and whatever else starts or is in previews at this time will not be participating.

I think RENT also has personalized polaroids with the cast for sale that they will sign as well.
