There appears to be a rendering of the Empire State Building (the tall one towards to the right), and possibly also 40 Wall Street (in the background furthest to the right), which were both built around 1930.

highly doubtful, just more so done by graphic design, drawing on a computer.

Why would it be highly doubtful? They wouldn’t be the first regional theater or notable organization to do it.
Looking at some of the frankly weird angles and details on the buildings and how generic these skyscrapers are, I do think this was done either largely or augmented heavily by AI.

It just seems like its not. Sometimes its ok for people to have different opinions. While yes a lot of things are done with AI at same time a lot of people have falsely stated some shows that have appeared on broadway used AI projections when in fact they just were computer animated projections, and some may have very well been cheaply created. But this to me gives life to Mrs Santa Claus the stage show, the whimsy with the magical and the fantasy of NYC she visits. i personally don't think its AI, So unless anyone knows for certain I can have my opinion.
As far as the buildings go I, too, thought that may have been the Empire state building which excited me because then it wouldnt be a copy and paste show and would require some cool updates. and also then to speak on the AI matter that will also prove one way or not if this was indeed AI, if it is still set in 1910 then yea they may have had AI help and it messed up fair enough right?
and I know dream mrs santa claus for me would be Bernadette Peters or Marybeth Piel, or Carolee Carmello, but Donna Murphy would also thrive in this.

It’s Goodspeed. Meaning that it will probably be someone like Karen Mason.

Has this been canceled? I’ll be very disappointed if that is the case. I love the film and I have tickets for Dec. I was so looking forward to seeing this live for the holidays. "
So weird. I’ve been looking at tickets weekly trying to figure out what days I can get up there and making sure there are still tickets available. They were still selling this past week. Hopefully just a glitch.

Oh I get that for sure, Karen Mason would do great in this too, as would Louise Pitre since she too does Regional shows as well. I was dream casting if it has life on Broadway in another season... Christine Ebersole too would be good. just give me all the women legends of Broadway in the role.

I would love to see Christine Ebersole or Beth Leavel. I think either could bring a nice touch with a little bit of irony and acidic comedy to it.
The use of so much apparent AI on the key art makes me think either the show was cancelled or is not all the way there in development, so much that the phase of "commission key art that we can potentially use in perpetuity" has not been reached yet.

Equity auditions in NYC on July 25 and local EPAs on the 26th tells me the show is happening.

I wonder if people actually complained and that Santa (not a real person) should be a man and blah blah blah. I guess many theaters are afraid to try something new on stage for Christmas, so they replaced with it the old and tired White Christmas. Lame.
Sorry T Bone
They've already revised the existing casting calls scheduled for next week to be for White Christmas.
"Due to extraordinary circumstances, Goodspeed has replaced MRS. SANTA CLAUS with WHITE CHRISTMAS."
That’s a damn shame!
Wonder what happened? Loss of enhancement money? Book in not-good-enough shape? An issue with the rightsholders or estates?
Hope we eventually see the show (at Goodspeed or elsewhere).

Possibly. However there is a Santa Claus in the film, with Mrs. Santa Claus being his Wife. Santa is still the one delivering the presents.
Whatever the reason was, it's very unfortunate for all involved.

It looks like the entire creative team is going to be working on White Christmas
UGH... this is super disappointing. Hopefully we'll get to see it onstage someday.
Not interested in *another* production of White Christmas.

What happened? Was this a rights issue?

well...dang. here is to hoping the stage show comes through and if so sooner than later.
Goodspeed's official reason is due to scheduling conflicts (did they have someone in mind that the Jerry Herman Estate agreed to, and without that person they couldn't bring it forward?)

So disappointed to hear that this run was cancelled. I’ve really been looking forward to it. I’m really not a fan of Christmas in general, but I adore this movie and will watch it and listen to the cast recording year round.
I hope at some point we do get to see a stage adaptation.
Seems like the new official statement is "scheduling conflicts with the creative team", though as you pointed out they are all working on White Christmas? Hmmm...my guess is probably the show just wasn't in any shape to put up a full production just yet.
