Does anyone have a promo code for Streetcar when it's at BAM?
Thanks in advance.
According to the BAM website, it is completely sold out.
More details: Due to popular demand, tickets to A Streetcar Named Desire are sold out to the general public, with the exception of a limited number of partial view seats, available by calling BAM Ticket Services at 718.636.4100.
A limited number of front orchestra seats are available to Friends of BAM at the Benefactor level ($1000) and up for Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances only. To become a Benefactor, call Patron Services at 718.636.4182.
FYI- My partial view seat cost $102 (inclusive of the service charge).
I'll let you know after I see the show on Friday night. I was given L 26, if anyone wants a gauge on where these seats are roughly located.
It's a rave from Brantley

Cate Blanchett was amazing! Very different from Natasha Richardson in the Roundabout revival a few years back.
Word of caution though, I was in the Gallery (Mezz) and it was so steep I thought I was going to fall out of my seat into the orchestra every time I moved. Very vertigo-inducing...
I saw it in DC and loved it. While not all of the actors have their accents down they all give great performances. The set is neat and I loved watching the action in the upstairs room (the night I saw the show a beer bottle tipped over upstairs and leaked through the grate onto Cate Blanchett. She looked up, shrugged and continued).

I bought tickets in the Gallery, but for some reason my ticket says "general admission" or it did? Is this in the Harvey?

It is at the Harvey. beware though, those bar stool type seats in the gallery are about as uncomfortable as they get.dont know about the general admission thing. I was in row F, the view was fine, the seat was just uncomfortable. I saw it tonight with the 30 dollar gallery seats and thought it was Phenomenal! Cate gives an incredible performance. the rest of the cast didn't really leave too much of an impression on me. Mitch stuggled with his accent a bit, but besides him, the entire cast really did a fine job with their accents, though even Cate slipped into her British Royalty tone in a few spot.
that said this is one of the more compelling nights I have had at the theater in quite some time.

I'm excited to see it. I think I'm in the 30 tickets as well. I sat up there for Cherry Orchard and I didn't mind it one bit.
I'll be there next week. Looking forward to it!
