Anyone else not liking the new "Sweeney" site that much? It used to have a lot of pictures and even a video preview. Now, the homepage is a calendar, and you have to find everything through the sitemap. the video preview is also gone and the photos have been reduced to ten, three of which are thoe promotion pics of Patti and Michael with the meathooks.
One improvement: desktop wallpapers and buddy icons.
I really don't like it. It's not as interesting or as intruiging as the old one.
"I believe that art does not exist only to entertain, but also to challenge one to think, to provoke, even to disturb, to engage in a constant search for the truth."
- Barbra Streisand
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
I just went bakc and it's different...again. Now the video plays on the homepage and the menu is at the left side of the screen. The calendar is still there, but now below the video as opposed to THE homepage. Looks better, and I'm starting to like it better (despite the fact that the original site was still better).
I see it now and am not very happy. I mean, its a good representation of the show but isnt too interesting. The probelm is they they dont have a huge amount of sets and designs to work from. It is a very bare show, and the website reflects that.
"The hallmark of aristocracy is responsibility. Oh brother, that got me, that did me in!"
I don't know if I'm seeing what the rest of you are seeing, but it looks pretty good to me. The video is wonderful, and its easy to navigate. Plus, the wallpapers/buddy icons are very nice.
It's fantastic compared to the UK Tour site which doesn't have biographies and still 'coming soon' for sights & sounds when the tour has already ended!

Back, he spurred like a madman, shrieking a curse to the sky. With the white road smoking behind him and his rapier brandished high! Blood-red were the spurs i' the golden noon; wine-red was his velvet coat, when they shot him down on the highway, down like a dog on the highway, and he lay in his blood on the highway, with the bunch of lace at his throat...
