I found this show so boring - I'm legitimately surprised by the # of people that love it here. O.o

Yeah. I felt that same way about IF/THEN.
It would be amazing to see JRB win Best Score, but that might be unlikely with its closing. The nomination alone might need to be the consolation, just like David Yazbek and "Women on the Verge."

I'm ok with being the only one buying premium as long as I'm guaranteed a good seat for the last performance.

Where have rush tickets typically been located in the theater?

On a positive note for JRB, this is the longest-running show he's ever had on Broadway. So there's that.
No, I'm serious.

It says it right at the top of the page, after the announcement of the last performance on Broadway.

YAY! :) I just glanced at the article, not reading it carefully, and went straight to Telecharge.
Glad I'll have the opportunity to see this next Friday.

Ughhh so so sad! And I really hate to think that this will cost Kelli and JRB their deserved awards. Is it really so unlikely that closing just a few weeks before the Tonys will ruin their chances?
Sutton Ross,
The Broadway Spring Road Conference is the week of May 12th. A bunch of presenters from out of town come to NYC to scope out what shows they'd like to bring to their theatres in the following seasons. I'd imagine the closing notice for the 18th is taking that into consideration, especially for touring purposes. That and also it gives a decent amount of time for TONY voters to come see the show one more time.
Rush seats have typically been the far sides of the front orchestra, I believe.
I'd be fairly shocked if the tour actually happens.
For the record, I rushed this last Tuesday at 2 in the afternoon and got a third-row orchestra seat. They were the last two in the row and partial view- but we were able to move over.

ljay - I, too, would be very surprised if they were able to get their investors to pump more money into the property for a national tour. There is only so much they probably have. An "announcement" by the producers mean nothing at this point.

Unfortunately, yes. At the end of the day, Broadway is a business. Even with stellar performances, the show has never found an audience. This speaks to voters that regardless of how good it is, there is little to no interest in this property. (If it tours, who would come?). Also, the reviews were lukewarm. If it were to win, there is no money to be made for producers and no award winning performance for audiences to see.
It hurts Kelly significantly.
the national will launch next year according to the show website!

That is so so sad and unfair! Especially if it hurts Score, because nothing else nominated comes close to being as brilliant. At least if Jessie wins, it's not like that would be undeserved.
I just got a ticket to the final show. I feel like I'm going to a funeral!
