Creating ticket scarcity for dates they don’t anticipate selling well. Then they can open it back up as the date gets closer if they’re well-sold enough.

All in all, not a great sign for longevity.

I don’t think shows in huge theatres are betting on long runs these days unless they are legacy shows (Wicked, Lion King). Some might get lucky, but in the state of affairs since COVID, big shows (even critically acclaimed/awarded ones) can’t hack it financially

Speaking of longevity, tickets now released through July 2027.

This is hopeful thinking. The show was so expensive to mount initially - and its weekly is higher (if not highest) of any show on Broadway. It will be lucky to make April - and shows are sniffing around the Palace.

Please just shut up. Your long hate for this show just makes you look like a fool more and more everyday. It's a 4 time Tony award winning musical. We get it, you don't like it. That doesn't stop its success. Get a life.

Says the one who finds a way to doubt the show every step of the way. You annoy most of us if you can't tell. You said the show wouldn't last and here it is still standing. But sure, keep hoping people lose their jobs and it doesn't make its weekly What an awesome theatre fan you are....

I am very happy for The Lost Boys. It offered a surprisingly very fun experience for me this year. I wish it continued success.
