Yup, looks like MATILDA is doing the same "Naughty" into "Revolting Children" medley they've been shopping around to the talk shows. http://instagram.com/p/aRMQqnqoAT/ Updated On: 6/7/13 at 03:02 PM
Does anybody know what Jersey Boys is performing. I'm assuming they're doing something with John Lloyd Young.
Matilda definitely looks like Naughty, but did you notice how many desks there are? Must be trying to get all the kids in! I hope they do a new medley.
It looks like they'll be be putting the four Matildas on the curve part of the stage. That definitely works in their favor.
Yeah, I expect matilda to do the naughty with the 4 Matilda's they did at the Olivier awards, and then go into revolting children (maybe with all 4 Bruce's?)

Seems like Smash will be performing...

You're kidding about Smash performing, right?
It's a cancelled show from another network. It ain't happening.
I've heard whispers of Hilty and a few friends doing something that could be the talk of the night…but that was about a week ago before the final script was in place.
When I saw that picture, I was THRILLED. I don't care if it is from Smash or not; I just want Megan to perform.
> some sort of performance with Matt Morrison and Harry Connick Jr. can't wait to see what that is
Morrison has a new CD called, "Where It All Began". Perhaps he'll do a something from that.
That looks like Bertie Carvel standing on a desk in the back, dead center. Perhaps they will do Naughty, then a bit of Bertie's big monologue, which gets cutoff by the "WOAH-ooo-o-o-oo-OOHH" into Revolting Children?
In Laura's new video blog on Broadway.com, they had a segment from this morning's rehearsal and she said they are running some of the transformations from CINDERELLA. Excited to see what those look like!

I heard that Matilda will be performing a medley of Naughty, When I Grow Up and Revolting Children.

The thought that we might see something from Megan as Marilyn is sending me into convulsions.
Ideally, since we almost saw it on the finale but didn't, a fully-staged Let's Be Bad introduced by Anjelica Huston (announcing its development as a full-scale musical) would be lovely.
Well Megan DID take her "Let's Be Bad" costume once the show wrapped...
Are these "mock" sets built for the Tonys?
I think it's a combination of replicated set pieces, the show's original set pieces, and images of the set projected on a screen. Or each show has one or the other or vice versa.
Good to know, thanks. I always wondered how a show managed to bring their set pieces over for the one night.

The pieces that you see on stage are not the original pieces. They are built specifically for the Tony Awards, while the originals sit in their respective, dark houses.

Each show recreates set pieces for their performance and you can usually tell which shows wanted to fork out the cash and who didn't. Regular set pieces are built into the theatre so it would be a nightmare to get them out, transport them, use them, bring them back and rebuild.
so it looks like all these long-running musicals won't be performing after all. Based on the rehearsal blog currently going(https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/2013-Tony-Awards-Rehearsal-LIVE-Blog-20130609) the following shows will introduce a musical performance.
So far we have:
Jersey Boys introducing Motown
Spiderman introducing Annie
Chicago introducing Bring It On
Rock of Ages introducing Cinderella
Newsies introducing Matilda
Also, the cast of Once is handing out all the "lesser known" awards during the commerical breaks. The Lion King cast gives out the Best Costume design award.
That Live Blog says MATILDA is performing "Revolting Children" and "When I Grow Up," not "Naughty." Hmm..
Also, The Lion King will introduce Pippin & Neil Patrick Harris will introduce A Christmas Story(???).
