As reports start to come in of confirmed productions, I thought it'd make sense to start compiling shows to get ready for next season...
New Musicals • The Band's Visit • Escape to Margaritaville • Frozen • Mean Girls • Prince of Broadway • SpongeBob SquarePants • Summer: The Donna Summer Musical
Musical Revivals • Carousel • My Fair Lady • Once on This Island
New Plays • 1984 • The Children • Farinelli and the King • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts I and II • Junk • Latin History for Morons • Meteor Shower • The Parisian Woman
Play Revivals • Angels in America • Children of a Lesser God • Lobby Hero • The Iceman Cometh • M. Butterfly • Marvin's Room • Saint Joan • Three Tall Women • Time and the Conways • Travesties
Other • Bruce Springsteen at the Walter Kerr • Home for the Holidays at the August Wilson • John Lithgow: Stories by Heart • Michael Moore's The Terms of My Surrender • Rocktopia at the Broadway Theatre
Yes, absolutely, Dreamgirls and Margaritaville are among a long list of shows that have been heavily rumored for next season! However, neither have announced dates and/or a venue yet, which is what I classify as a "confirmed" production.
Mean Girls, Hadestown, Here Lies Love, Little Dancer, The Honeymooners, The Band's Visit, Othello, Sweet Charity, Gypsy, Crazy For You, Farinelli and the King.

^there would likely be a presser when it's finalized. Usually happens about 8-6 weeks before the production is on the road, but of late it has been done fairly early for bigger productions. At least the main leads should be announced soon.
Having said that, this is the wrong thread for that discussion.

The Honeymooners is having its premiere at Paper Mill in Fall 2017, so I highly doubt that will end up on Broadway in the same season.
^ Roundabout has announced four titles: The Last Match, Amy and the Orphans, Skintight and Too Heavy for your Pocket. Wondering what the musical will be.

Yes, but "essentially confirmed" ≠ confirmed, which is what this thread is about.
What about "The Band's Visit", a new musical adapted from the movie by the same name? Music and lyrics by David Yazbek. It played the Atlantic Theater back in December to rave reviews, including one from Brantley. I heard that it was transferring to Broadway for the 2017-18 season.

Still holding out hope for spongebob, but I'm beginning to think it has been abandoned

We just have the wait and see what happens after the Tonys. What shows survive and which ones don't. Then we will see which houses are going to be vacant next season.

Do people still say "duh"?????
We have to wait and see what happens after the Tonys. Then we will know what happens after the Tonys. Because some people win awards and some don't.
