I've been looking over the most recent posts in this thread, and I have come to the following conclusions:
1. There are a lot of cases where the actor playing Frankie has his zipper down.
2. There are a lot of stupid people in San Francisco (the woman shouting during "Fallen Angel;" the woman on the cell phone).
MY INTERNET IS BACK UP!
And you should have kept that odd...hairy creature, whatever it is.

Truly, there are a lot of stupid people everywhere.
Wow, Michael, you're a genius!
To counter #2, I have NEVER heard a cell phone go off during Jersey Boys, and other than singing along, I think Jersey Boys has had the best-behaved audiences of any show I've ever seen in SF (along with Les Miz). Maybe thanks to the pre-show announcement. There are rude people everywhere.

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be allowed to say "other than singing along"... I mean, that's a pretty big offense, is it not? It always pisses me off to no end.
I HATE singing along, but what I meant was, there have been very few incidents (in my 8x seeing the show) of rattly bags, people on the phone, people talking, people eating, etc...the kind of stuff that happens at OTHER shows I've seen in SF.
Lizzie,
I agree that the "Jersey Boys" and "Lez Mis" audiences are the most well-behaved audiences I've ever seen. Sure, there will be the odd zipper-shouter and cell phone, but other than that, they are great. I've seen the show 15 times, and I've only had one problem:
I was sitting in the front row during the "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" scene when this older lady sitting to my right said: "Oh, what racy clothing!" I bit my lip really hard so I wouldn't laugh...but I failed. Bwahahahahahahah! Whoo.
And sometimes it can be funny...
An older lady behind me commented, "He's just so DAMN CUTE!" (quietly, but cooingly) about Jarrod during the scene where Bob tells him he doesn't want to perform anymore.
One of the worst audiences I ever sat through in SF was for Big River. I couldn't tell if people just brought their kids and didn't coach them beforehand, or figured since half the cast was deaf they wouldn't care. Either way they should all have been tranquilized.

I agree with Lizzie, that the JB crowd is pretty well behaved although there have been a few incidents. Out of the 7 times I've seen the show I've only heard someone's cell go off once, and that person turned it off after one ring. And the last time I saw the she Sherry Co. a lady was heard singing along to "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" but she stopped or got drowned out and at that same performace some guy yelled out "Yeah" during the table scene when Tommy gets in Bob's face for a second. Although there was one performance I attended where I was worried I wouldn't enjoy the show at all because I was sitting next to this annoying lady, who I had to stand next to in the rush line. Luckily she behaved during the performance. It was just before the show and during intermission that I couldn't stand her.

Actually Lizzie, that brings up The Angels scene when they sing My Boyfriend's Back. The first time I saw it the lead's dress was split so high you could see her white underwear. It was very obvious. I noticed on Saturday, she's now wearing pink underwear to match the dress.

Not that I know of, and I've seen 5 of their 11 shows so far. I'd throw some onstage on Wednesday (my last time, emo!) but they know who I am now... and I've embarrassed myself enough already. Not that they don't deserve it, though. Maybe I'll get someone else in my party to do it.
Keep meaning to ask, what happened to Douglas Crawford? Is he in another show now?

He should just be Hank/Mika forever. I loved him in that track.

Man, did everyone know that the assistant's name was Mika? Ryan just told me that the other day, I got such a kick out of it.
I knew thanks to Eric Gutman's blog and one of Erich Bergen's questions at One Night Only.
People have asked Doug on his myspace page when he was going to be in LA and he replyed on the 12th and said he would be their next week ( this week).
As an USHER for the Curran Theatre since December... I have to agree that the audiences for "JERSEY BOYS" are fantastic and very well-behaved.
Getting them to their seats and to keep food out of the theatre is always an arduous task, but once the show starts, they sit back and enjoy the ride.
I don't think I've ever heard a cellphone go off... at all.
And the shouting from the audience is few and far between... so much so that when it DOES happen, the ushers talk about it at the following day's meeting... as if it was like an asteroid hitting the stage.
Remember, most of them are blue-hairs (aka elderly) and upper-middle class. While they do have a sense of entitlement, they are also pretty well-mannered.

...after the show, security had a talk with those unruly women and turns out...they were tourists from Casa Grande, Arizona!!!
