When the guys do an interview, it's always enjoyable. They all have a great sense of humor and listiners can tell that there is a great chemistry between them. Now, I wish the current cast in SF would do some interviews.

Frankie Valli called in during the beginning of the interview. They were talking about Chris' falsetto and Chris mentioned how tough it is to sing the role but he's had help, then Frankie mentioned he should eat more bird seed. If you've heard Frankie answer questions about his falsetto in past interviews, that's one of the answers he always gives. That and wearing tight underwear. The DJ did misspronounce Chirs' middle name and Chris called him out on it. And the DJ were telling Erich how similar he is to the real Gaudio. But overall it was the basic interview promoting the show. It might be up on GILG website later on. They posted an interview that Frankie, Bob, and Rick Elice did for the station in April.
And the ticket and Four Seasons Box set give away was insanely easy. They played a track and the caller had to ID if it was the cast or the real Four Seasons.

(Don't know if anyone posted this yet -- I'm just now reading Sunday's Datebook.)
Cast members will be visiting Macy's Union Square, Thursday, June 28th, at 12pm, on the main floor. They'll be signing complementary posters and CD samplers (most likely the same ones from Hard Rock/Cody's).
Yep! It has, but thanks for the reminder. :)

Sounds like the Ahmanson Theatre is charging full price for what would be $25 rush tickets at the Curran.....
It's not Des's, Rick's or Bob's fault.....

This story may have been posted, but not completely sure.I thought it was a nice little story on how the Sherry Company became the winners of the 2007 Easter bonnet. Just thought to share it incase it hasn't been already.
The Secrets of Sherry’s $236,844 San Francisco Success
That was cute!
And is now a good time to mention an old thread? Well...

I found it by accident. I'm on the The Independent's mailing list and from time to time they send out pre-sale info. for other concerts/venues. When I clicked on the link, to check something else out, I saw that way at the bottom.
Tixs aren't going on-sale for another month, so it's not showing up on the ticketmaster site, and, when I looked on there, I thought, it said they would be in Livermore, too.

Thanks! It's really cool that they are holding this contest! Of course. I lost when KTVU Fox 2 had the Mornings on 2 JB show tix, but hope for good luck with this one.
You know, I entered that two years ago when they were giving away Les Miz tickets (and won!), but back then they gave away 4 tickets as the grand prize and 4 or 5 other people won a pair. Who's being stingy!?
Congratulations on that past win! I hope more and more contests pop up for JB because even though it's closing soon, it would be great to have those types of promotions draw in new fans and hopefully have sold out crowds like this past winter at the Curran.
Edit: Why aren't the boys performing at Pride? I mean, it looks like the show could use the publicity boost.
And I know this festival doesn't usually feature the "big" shows, but I'm kind of surprised they're not performing here, either: http://www.sftheaterfestival.org/festival/index.htm

With no shows this coming Sunday, it looks like they would be able to peform at the Pride festivites. Maybe they will but it's unannounced, who knows.
But I agree that the gotta do some better promoting of the show. Signs on cabs and cable cars aren't cutting it anymore. They gotta do a big billboard in Union Square or something, or plaster every single surface of the Powell Bart station with ads.

They seem to be pouring all their energy into LA (and it's working), but it's almost like Jersey Boys isn't even here anymore. I understand not doing all the TV appearances and such, because really, who does that after the show has been open this long, but there are all sorts of live opportunities like Pride. And I swear last week there was some kind of Italian American festival in North Beach which would've been perfect.
BUT! Whaddo I know, I'm not a PR person. Maybe I should be, though.

I think they should have done some tv/radio interviews with the new cast. But seriously if they want to get back near the million dollar range like it did earlier in the run, they gotta do some promoting. Have the cast do some live performances at events or something. Or have someone else do their PR because who ever it is doesn't seem to be putting much effort. It's going to be sad if the show leaves SF fizzled out and not with a bang.
