I'm still going to assume it's up in the air and that this is only a conditional closing notice (do they do those?) because they can't call an extension if there's no cast ready to replace the current cast, and who knows how casting might go. And they have to be out by Sept 30, they start Chicago like a week after that date. But until told otherwise, I'm assuming it can go either way but expect 9/30 to be the closing date.
Edit: To add to what Lizzie just posted, I remember overhearing one of the backstage guys a month ago say that they're building a new set for the touring production in Sacramento. Which would go along with the fact that they're supposed to be there in September, although it's still unannounced.

in sacramento on, the sherry cast is going to use a "travel set" which includes microphones that don't up from the floor (ala "rag doll") but come (carried?) from the side.
i just checked yesterday for LA, it looked like they had some seats left... maybe they sold those last night or today. :)

the lift are more interesting because it makes for a good dramatic entrance but then if the theater cannot support it then.....the old fashioned way of doing it should be done :P
like when the lifts malfunctioned in SF.
I am really glad I was able to see them in LA.

Looks like the whole cast has registerd for the AIDS Walk SF. Let's all contribute something people.
Team Jersey Boys
Yay! I was about to edit my post to mention the team when I saw yours.
I'm there as well on the 15th of July! My employer is participating in the walk and I hope to see the cast members there too! Great cause, in addition to the BC/EFA Aids benefit earlier this year. It's great to see that Broadway "DOES" have a heart whenever people are in need. It's not only limited to athletes and the wealthy.
Thank you to the 2nd National Tour for your participation in these important health related charities!
If you've ever wanted to see Taylor Sternberg as the French rapper, now's your chance!

What was rush been like on the weekends in SF? I haven't seen it in a while...
I last rushed a couple of weeks ago. The crowds didn't really start coming until around 11.
Erich Bergen put it back up. Yay!

Thanks for posting that clip Lizzie. That quote from Erich gave me a good quick laugh for the night. Although when the host mentioned interesting things, I thought they were going to talk about the the underwear throwing, not the earthquake.
Now, I'm sure he's busy and so is the rest of the cast, but if only he would get to the responses for that fan Q&A he started on his blog awhile back.

It's a great interview, too bad it seems like it gets cut off in the middle of it. Thanks for finding it Lizzie.

From the Jersey Boys Blog (http://www.jerseyboysblog.com):
The Boys from the Sherry Company will be on K-EARTH 101 in LA from 8-9am pacific time. The station streams their broadcast on the internet so if you're not in LA you can still listen.

since the sherry company is doing all kinds of media promotion, us bay area folks should start bombarding jan wahl and view from the bay with emails asking them to put the chicago/sf cast on their shows too!
I wish. It's kind of sad that not only that, there are only three production shots of the Chicago cast.
Are they waiting for Michael Ingersoll to come back so they can shoot more and promote the cast that will actually BE in Chicago? There's no B-roll for the Chicago cast, either. Harrumph.

I'm with you guys. I'd be nice to see a b-roll with this cast and some new production shots. But I'm guessing they'll do it when Michael comes back because Steve only has a month left. I'm guess that new shorts are in the works because they replaced the lobby posters with the generic ones. They updated the picture they're using in the Playbills. It's no longer the backup secession photo that was done in a studio with a white background, you know the one where Jeremy has a really bad pompador, but it's a production shot. I'd post a pic of it but my scanner is on the fritz.

did anyone hear the sherry cast on the radio? ok so adorable - chris jones said he only had to pay 10 people for the standing ovation after "can't take my eyes off of you"
