I lost it when I saw the cover. Then I was surrounded by the posters out in the main lobby and oh boy. Hahaha. Can't wait for a couple more shows when they get used to the audience, etc. so I can see them get even better.
Andrew Rannells just blew me away. He was the stand-out for me. I simply loved him.
OMG the bedazzler. Even the underside of the bill on the baseball cap!
Some of the tracks are different, too. I think Ken Krugman is the "what's he got that I ain't?" guy in the bar, and the girls' tracks are like Broadway's, not like the Sherry tour or Chicago.
I can't even talk about the Playbill cover. It's just wrong.

I'm just going to chime in on the "Ces Soiree La" costumes. It seriously looked like they went crazy with the bedazzler and an air brush. But I only remember them doing stuff to the guy's costumes. I don't even remember the girls in that number. Maybe in comparision their costumes looked plain. Or maybe because the purple valor hoody was so baggy that I was trying to figure out if it was actually a hoody or a pimp cape during the whole number.
The jeans looked like they'd been spraypainted gold!

Those had to be the shiniest jeans I have seen. EVER.
And the orange dress during "My Boyfriends Back" I couldn't stop looking at it. It didn't go with the colors the other Angels were wearing, I just looked out of place and just got a bit distracting. And why did they put the bows on the back of their dresses.
I'm just going to go ahead and a bit of my opinion on the performace. I wasn't expecting it to be perfrect since it was their first show infront of an audience, but I was impressed overall. There were a few things that may need some getting used to but I can't wait until every one figures out their character portrayals and settles into them.

The bows on the Angel dresses are the same size as they have always been. The orange dress is the understudy dress, it won't be on today.
Hm, I was wondering about the orange dress. I thought I'd seen Lauren in it when I saw her as Francine in Sacramento, but wasn't sure.
Yes, you did. That was the dress.

How long was this cast in rehearsal?
It seems like they JUST announced the cast. Or had they already begun rehearsing when they announced it?
Their first rehearsal was October 15.

I thought they added the bows on. I must have just forgotten them if they've always been on the dresses before.
Just watched the boys + Jenny Lee open the show. I have that song in my head now.
Nice to see it on the big screen, not just because I never got it to work on a Mac, but also because they took it off the page within the past few days...aw.

Gutman updates on what's been going on since he last blogged. Go read it. And guess what, he's turning 30.

And that's a great entry. I think he's added more since it was posted.

We're very excited about our production here in San Francisco. We will be moving on to Las Vegas very shortly, so make sure you come and see us soon, tickets are going fast (last night was a complete sellout after a fabulous tree lighting ceremony). Also, thank you for all the gifts and food goodies that our fans have left backstage.

Harley: So you were local crew when ACL was here, and you're moving with JB to Vegas? Not being sarcastic, just wondering. :)
No, sorry I don't know anything about ACL and I'm not local crew. I'm just a fan like the rest of you. This thread has been a little slow lately, so I was trying to get it going again. Sorry to have bothered you.

No, sorry I don't know anything about ACL and I'm not local crew. I'm just a boy from Jersey.
Um, that's not what your posting history says.
Looks like we might be having that problem where people are getting signed in under other people's names again.

LMAO. Or this is a very elaborate skit.

Rick sounds different, even his speaking voice. Hopefully it's from being tired and not sick. Lesser of two evils. And Walk-Like-A-Man choreography during Little Drummer Boy... Genius.

I just realized -- I know it won't happen on time, but Michael Longoria's first performance as full-time Frankie is in just a couple of days. They never announced an alternate. I know everyone's just a little tied up with a little strike, but come on, where are the rumors?!

I forgot Longoria is scheduled to start this coming Tuesday. But you're right, so far no one has been named his alternate. Guess the rumor mill for the Broadway company stopped when the strike started. Has anyone heard anything? Updated On: 11/25/07 at 02:05 AM
So Erich's official last day is December 31 (his birthday), in Seattle instead of in Costa Mesa.
But we'll see what happens.
