Just saw this over on the JB Bulletin Board. Glad that Taylor and Courter are getting more chances to go on - I've read great reviews of both.
...just checked twitter and MySpace and read that Taylor and Courter will be on for Frankie a few times this week in Seattle - as many of you know, Chris is on vacation.
Taylor is on tonight (1/8/) and Friday's matinée (1/11 at 2pm).
Courter is on for both shows on Saturday the 12th.
I guess this means Joe will be doing the remainder of the shows this week.
I second that. I also really wish someone would post something about Taylor's and Couter's Frankie performance. At least, for Courter's part, another review.
I was checking out the official tour site to see if they updated it, they did. The locations are current, they dropped the SF tab on the cast list and update the touring cast. While I was looking at the tour cast list I noticed a new male swing, Nathan Scherich.
So now I'm wondering. Is he's the universal male swing like Michelle Knight and goes to which ever company needs one? Did one of the other male swings decide to leave the tour or get bumped to a role and he's taking their place?
And Zachary Prince is STILL on the tour cast list. I am intrigued!
Interesting. And I didn't notice this earlier but they removed Melissa Strom from the list too.
Jake Speck is on as Bob tonight! He was great when I saw him go on as Bob, although not going to lie, it looks like they could have done more tailoring on some of his costume pieces.
A friend is seeing the show tonight and said John Michael Dias is on as well (I'm not sure if he's usually scheduled for Wednesday nights). I'll see what I can find out about Jake's costume.
Oh Melissa!

I was just thinking, "I hope his costumes are less awkward-looking by now." Great Bob, frightening clothing fit.

According to a post over on the JB Board, Nathan Klau will be leaving the show March 15th. Will be sad to see him go. Even though he didn't have alot of line in his track, he was always able to get a laugh out of me.
Well mll85, I saw Courter go on for Frankie in San Diego and thought he was excellent. His voice is so clear. I was talking with Gutman after the show and I told him how I though Courter was amazing and he said something like, "Yeah, isn't he great?" I must have missed Courter but I sent him an email telling him how much I enjoyed his performance. I saw Chris go on a few days later. I really hate to say which I preferred. PM me if you want to know I guess.
I think I'd have to say that Chris' Frankie is very... almost used to the life he leads. He's a very sure character. Courter seemed to be playing as if he were very knew to the stardom of being a pop sensation and I felt that. He seemed hesitant of the life almost. I really liked Courter's Sunday Kind of Love... his voice seemed to handle the "holding back" awesomely. And it may just have been the difference in audiences, but when Courter did Can't Take My... he got a big chunk of the audience standing up. Chris got this one lady behind me. Lol, I found it funny that she was so unembarrased. He rocked it, but come on... she was clapping like Paula Abdul.
I think Chris handled the pre-Fallen Angel scene better, but only by an inch or less. And Courter hadn't gone on very much at all prior to that. Chris was so nice at the SD. All of the cast were, even Deven who was trying to drag his huge dressing room rug "home". I felt so bad since he'd just taken a picture and then picked it up when I asked for one. But he was so cool and just set it right back down. Said something about calling it Towelie. Hahaha.
Again, PM me if there's any other info ya wanna know about Courter. He pretty much rocks.

Yeah don't worry about it. We aren't going to start attacking you because you have a preference for an actor in the role...well most of us. If you been following this thread you know who I'm talking about.
But that's for posting about Courter's performance, just wish I was there. Same goes for Taylor's turn at Frankie. Updated On: 1/10/08 at 03:06 AM
Definately don't worry about it. I have a favorite Frankie too.
And thanks for the Courter review!! I only wish there was one of Taylor now...and you know, from someone who doesn't write about them like they're some god or holy figure.
Well it doesn't say that now. It says he's rejoining the tour in Houston. Guess he was there so they had enough covers while they were changing Frankies. And explains why he wasn't dropped from the tour site and added on to Broadway's.
I wonder if any more changes are going to happen to the touring cast when they get to Houston.
Change of plans. Zach isn't returning to the tour when they start in Houston. The Brodaway company is keeping him as a Frankie cover for the rest of the month so now he'll be back with the tour when they stop in Tampa. Although he keeps us on our toes so wouldn't be suprised if it changes again. But he underlined Tampa this time so who knows.
Anyway, the tour ends its Seattle run tonight and supposedly so does someone's time with the cast. If it's true, it's sad that they're leaving but they had a great run with the show. Was glad I was able to catch their performance on stage and enjoyed it every single time. Hope nothing but great things come their way in the future. Updated On: 1/12/08 at 02:08 PM
Oh well. At least we know to keep up on our toes for that matter.
Yeah....if I remember hearing correctly, more than one person may be leaving tonight. I'm sad that they're leaving after Seattle, but like mll85, so glad that I got to see their performance.
Hopefully everything works out, and I have a feeling they'll be amazing at it. ;D
And here's looking at an upcoming update (hopefully) from Taylor soon ;D
You know, I really like the Jelly Bean door. And that pic of Nate just killed me. But in the total opposite form of that one video. You know, THAT one. ;D
