His vocal cords were probably going through hell near the end of his time performing a vocally demanding show 8 times a week, so yeah poor JLY. Glad it was decided that the principal Frankie should only do 6 shows a week.

With his nice, shiny, silver, spinning consolation prize, I think JLY's the last person we should be feeling sorry for.
You know what I meant.

Posted: 1/4/08 at 4:29amOh, LizzieCurry, you know so much!!!! You should write the tell-all book on Jersey Boys, forget that platitudinal pollyannaish hack job of a companion book. You could even get interviews from the original cast, crew and producers, since you're such a BROADWAY INSIDER.

Boston... Hmm, don't know. Ask Lizzie Curry. She'll know before any of us do! Also ask her what the second cover for the "Tommy DeVito" track had for lunch before going on in the Wednesday matinee. She can hear if he's eaten DAIRY, just from his solo in "Oh, What a Night!" Amazing.

Posted: 1/4/08 at 5:12pmI'm sure it will make it's way to Boston eventually. I think more dates have been booked, they just haven't been announced yet.

He didn't have lunch. He had a big breakfast that morning.
Will be stopping by to see Eric Gutman tomorrow, or sometime this week! Will snag a picture and share it with all you BROADWAY INSIDER friends.

#2060Looks like some folks are complaning in Seattle about getting understudies
Posted: 1/5/08 at 9:36pmI think he does, but he doesn't appear to be on the official site yet. (Zachary Prince is still there...hmm?!)

#2062Looks like some folks are complaning in Seattle about getting understudies
Posted: 1/5/08 at 11:16pmUm, from the site, that's what it looks like. And it's six weeks, not six months ;D

Posted: 1/6/08 at 1:07amWell, you're right. That's what it says but I thought that the producers guaranteed the Toronto theatre a six month lease.

That's the first time I heard that news. If that's true I guess it's possible that they might do what they did in SF and have the tour start the run and create another cast to continue it. And it's not like productions haven't been popping up all over the place. But whatever happens, the touring company has to be in Denver by December.

Maybe. The cast might be a little different by then, but who knows what will happen?
But I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto got their own cast later on.

It's possible, as of right now tickets for the Chicago company are being sold until mid July. But they could end up announcing more dates later on. Guess we'll just have to wait.
Speaking of Chicago there hasn't been much news coming from there. The only thing coming up is that Jeremy is leaving the production in March and Bryan is going to replace him.

Some of the guys were on hand to perform in Sara Jean Ford's (the Phantom Tour's Christine)Cabaret show to raise money for BC/EFA.

I think this is the same mag that reviewed the show in Tempe.

Posted: 1/7/08 at 9:18pmSpeaking of the touring cast. I know that rumors have been floating around that Deven may be leaving after Seattle. Has anyone heard anything definite about Deven staying or not.

I've still only heard the rumor of Deven.
And Melissa is NOT coming back this week. If you look on Sarah Darling's website, she's in the role until the end of the Seattle run.

Actually, she may be there longer than that. Or are the dates just there to be safe?

Oooh, I didn't check it that recently. The last time I checked it, she put dates until the end of their run in Seattle. But I was also assuming that Melissa would not be back even in the next city; I obviously forgot that. ;D
I'm guessing those dates are there to be safe. Thanks for that clarification.
