Are you kidding me? I'm definitely not going. It's worse than extra work on a film. You can't leave your seat, even to go to the bathroom. Can't come late, can't come early. Have to wear certain colors. Stand in the rain. the seats are upstairs, and finally, they aren't filming today. they're setting up camera angles. I guess they will be starting and stopping. What a dismal day.
You can't go to the bathroom for 2.5 hours? Like I said, it's basically Gitmo.
I don't see anywhere that says the seats are upstairs or that they're not filming today. The email does say that it will end no later than 5:30 so it doesn't seem like there will be stops and starts. No one is forcing you to go to a FREE taping of a Broadway show.

its Tuesday, well after noon. I have yet to get an email. I'm hoping this is not a bad sign
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
Jane, I went to a taping of Katie Couric in June. It was taped, not live. We also had to stay for additional segments for an additional show. So what was suppose to be two hours was closer to four. My seat was all the way to the end and off camera. I had to use the bathroom after the third hour of being there. At first, they told me to hold it and then they changed their minds when they assumed I was going to go off on them. So I guess my point is, some of these tapings are really strict. And I won't be going back to Katie, not because of this, but because it was boring.
I was there today. No stops, great audience, was allowed to pee during intermission. Basically, I saw a Broadway show, a pretty decent play, from a good seat for free. No complaints at all.
