The Official "In The Heights" Love Thread.... — Page 65

Really quick thoughts from tonight (yeah, I was there- they broke out the Janet!Nina, I had to go :))
- Eliseo Roman has the most beautiful voice. I full-out *wept* during Inutil
- Tony Chiroldes burst out with this "WEPA!" during the start of Carnaval that, I can't even describe in words, but it was amazing and hilarious and cracked the cast up
- Doreen's Daniela was great, loved her voice, her comedy, her character. Looking forward to seeing her again during Andrea's vacation week
- and there's nothing more to say about Janet!Nina that I haven't already said here before. :) My favorite understudy actor and role right now.
I did the standing room tonight- the view for Fireworks is not great, but I learned the trick to standing back there *and* being able to see Sunrise, so I was quite content. :)
And tonight's PSA: crying babies in strollers? The Little Mermaid is across the street. Seriously- baby. stroller. Heights. tonight.

It was great, he was good- I feel bad, it's like in all the Janet/Eliseo/Doreen talk that I'm not saying anything about the other two u/s who got to go on last night, but he was great, loved his singing, and he got huge laughs on the two Mr. Softee jokes... and I might *still* be thinking about his "Weeeeepa!" at the start of Carnaval and laughing, it was 12 levels of brilliant.
Oh and so speaking of Carnaval, Doreen hit the second "Hey!" at the start of it with a fierceness that I can't even describe- I was standing near people who have all seen the show before, and everyone sort of looked around and got this "wow!" look on their faces. It was amazing.

Carnaval del Barrio was 23874984723 levels of fierce. Doreen's second 'hey' and Tony's 'weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppaaa!' probably the best things ever in Carnaval.
Eliseo Kevin was the most ingenious thing I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant.

I am assuming that Janet and Stephanie's names were transposed? Because otherwise "Carla: Janet Dacal," um, yeah, we know? Lol.

Very funny--- (or not really funny, but interesting)-
I was fitted with a "halter/heart" monitor today at 5PM that I have to wear for 24 hrs. So, I will have it on during the show tomorrow afternoon.
If anyone is familiar with how these work, you basically have
5-6 electrodes taped to your chest, and each time you feel something, you have to press the button on the machine.
Could be dizziness, palpatations, a skipped heartbeat, a sharp pain, etc.
At the end of the 24 hrs, I have to bring the monitor back to the Dr. for them to take the chip out, and take a reading.
So, I am wondering what the printout is going to look like during "96,000"- ???!!!

They did.

That's almost as good as the time when I went by Grey Gardens and they had Matt Cavenaugh listed as Jacqueline Bouvier and Abigial Ferenczy listed as Joe Kennedy.
