This is my favourite song from Company- I may or may not have cried *dreamy sigh* I love Raul. This is my favourite show and I was so fourtunate to see it a couple months back.
A most ingenious paradox.

Love Patti!
The thing with Rent and Spring Awakening is that many people feel that they can "relate" to the show. The music is the big part of it because a majority of people are turned away from musical theatre because of the classical/operatic feeling of it, but Rent and SA both have that rock edge that draws people to it. I guess they figure they won't be bored during these as compared to a great show like Company.

Yay Raul!
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I guess I'm in the minority here -- I thought MLW's speech was really rude... and the back-tracking acknowledgement of the others in her character seemed very insincere. I don't begrudge her the win, but I found her completely ungracious.

You're not alone fishergirl. My jaw dropped when she said that. There are ways to not be surprised and NOT be rude. Or hey...try acting!

Damn right, Testing!
This feels like the longest telecast EVER. I can't believe there's another hour and a half. And yet, I can't turn it off.

She probably knew that Grey Gardens wasn't going to get much acceptance speech time, so she tried to make it as memorable and self-indulgent as possible to make up for all the Grey Gardens snubs.

Wow, Raul's performance was one of the most powerful I have ever seen performed on the Tony Awards.

That was amazing. But why did they hide the fact that it was an actor-musician show? I was looking forward to see the whole cast/orchestra playing with him. His playing wasn't in sync with the track.
