Having Poppins perform right after S.A. won Best Choreography was entertaining, since they (like ALL THE OTHER NOMINATED SHOWS) were worlds better.

I loved the tap dancing in Mary Poppins (SA's award for choreography still baffles me. Love the show but the choreography? stomping, jumping, and hand motions... Fitting but others deserved it miles more) but the entirety (sp?) of the performance, just seemed strange. I don't know. It just seemed very weird.

Choreography is what Curtains has and should have for which it should have won. I actually haven't seen Poppins but I wouldn't go see it based on that performance. I'll slip the DVD in an watch Dick Van Dyke dance across the rooftops.

It's nominated. That was for non-nominated plays.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

They didn't feature any play that was nominated for Best Play.

WTF is up with the writing of the presenters? It's so pretentious and awful.
"I've got to get me out of here
This place is full of dirty old men
And the navigators and their mappy maps
And moldy heads and pissing on sugar cubes
While you stare at your books."

The three stages of creepy/annoying:
First stage: Mark Indelicato
Second stage: Bill T. Jones
Final stage: Stephen Sater. Is he just extremely nervous or seriously odd?

Is it just me or do they let some people's speeches go on longer than others?

Baleated reaction but thought the "Curtains" number was horrible; at least "Poopins" had a lot of energy.

I mean, we know actors act and directors direct, let's move on!

Poopins...my God, that was a slip.
I love love love SA but geez, maybe I haven't watched enough backstage stuff but Sater is coming off like an extremely odd duck.
