Hi..Today on the View, it's Rosie's birthday and they are having the casts of at least 3 Broadway shows do numbers from their shows. Announced so far, A Chorus Line, Les Miserables, and The Color Purple!
YEAH! I love that they are doing the COLOR PURPLE.
I kind-a wish they would bring Fantasia in to do I'm Here.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."
Oh man! I have class I really hope someone records it!
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "

I wanted Lea to have a little solo. Damn it! Alex is great. He really stood out when I saw the show.
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".

Rosie said "PAUL Giamatti" instead of "Alex" LOL!!
Great performance. This entire show is basically a commercial to get people to go see a Broadway show. God bless Rosie.
WHERE was this performed? The stage of THE VIEW isn't THAT large!

Rosie is a saint for supporting Broadway the way she does. Alex was fantastic and the cast sound rich and full. I wish Norm Lewis could have sung something though.
"I seem to have wandered into the BRAIN load-out thread... "

"Sorry I am a Theatre major not a English Major"

Oh, the other day it was even funnier that Rosie called Kimberly Locke, "Kimberly Clark"! Well, they used to advertise Kimberly Clark.

Yes! She's back for one performance. Love that woman!
I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.
It's GORGEOUS!! LaChanze was brilliant in the role and I'm glad America gets to see her rendition once more before the publicity and promos begin for Fantasia.
