Are there any recent reports? If I wanted to get the front row seats, how early should I arrive? Would 8:00 am be early enough?

You would be fine at 8 am. I am rushing today, got here at 8, was first on line and now there are just 2 of us at 8:30.

First, is Times Square a madhouse? If I were coming from 50th st and 8th ave, would I be able to easily get to the theatre?
Second, I called telecharge and they said the box office opens at 12:00 since it’s New Year’s Day. Is that true?
Third, could I come in at around 11:30 and have a shot at getting rush?
thanks so much!

I got second row orchestra far side. Perfect view even though they wrote Partial View on my ticket
I had row B seat 6 and 8. Far left. Also marked partial view but nothing is cut off. There is a bit in "its not about me" where dee dee is blocked by the principal standing but all in all great seat.

has anyone rushed on a Sunday recently? Wondering best time to arrive for a noon box office opening.

I went to the box office yesterday (1/16/1 at 10:50am. I managed to get two rush tickets for the 8pm show. They were full view Orchestra P104&105 and they were fantastic seats. Slightly raised so no looking between heads. Two people in front got rush tickets as well so it must have been a quiet day.

I got there on 1/20 at 10:45am and there were about 13 people in front of me. I don’t know if it was because it was a 2 show day but they opened up the box office at 11:45am and I was able to get a single rush seat in Orchestra Row Q Seat 8. By time they opened the box office the line seemed to triple in size from when I got there.
Good to know!! Thank you for the info!
Has anyone tried in the afternoon, after box office opening recently? I'm hoping to catch it in the next few days, but can't get there at the open. Thanks.

Rushed todays (Wed.) matinee. Got to box office at 8:16 am; was third in line. Location was Mezz, Row B, Seat 4. Close enough and great panoramic view of whole stage.
does anyone know why they stopped giving away the front row seats for the rush?
We rushed today (Wed 2/6). Got there at 9:20 and were 6th in line. By 10, there were 20ish in line. Everyone in front of us needed evening, but we needed matinee. Ended up with Orch Center G101-102! WOW The couple next (G103-104) to us also got their seats via rush. It was a fun show :)

Has anyone gotten tickets from TKTS? I keep on checking the board and they are on most of the time, but if there are less people at rush, I might do that instead.

I rushed yesterday (2/7) morning and got there at 8:05am and was 2nd in line. The girl that was there first told us she got there five minutes before us. It wasn’t until 9am that others started to come. By 10am there were maybe 15 people in line. We bought two tickets and got Orchestra row B seats 104 and 105! Wow...that’s center orchestra and our seat 105 had no row in front because that’s the orchestra pit. My seat 104 had one row in front. We had such amazing seats and only for $40 each. Those seats sell for $179. The show is FANTASTIC. It’s so funny and thoroughly a great time at the theater. I would definitely see this again.

I’m currently in the rush line and I’m pretty sure I’ll get tickets. I got here at 9 am and there was only 4 people in line. Maybe it’s because of the snow? Right now there are only 3 people behind me. Must be a slow day

That’s a good place in line. When I was 2nd in line I got center orchestra which is 2nd row but since the orchestra pit was there it was actually front row. Really fun show. We loved it. Hope you enjoy.
As an update for anyone curious, I rushed yesterday 3/19 and I was a little late because I had a meeting at work. I got there just after 10:30, and the box office attendant said the tickets had sold out in 10 minutes.
I ended up getting TDF tickets for last night anyway, thankfully, but wanted to post here for awareness.

What time would you recommend getting there for Sunday this upcoming weekend?

Don't know if this helps, but my wife and I rushed for the evening performance of The Prom on 3/2/19. We got to the box office at 2:15 that afternoon. We were the only ones there. We were able to get two seats no problem. Left Orchestra, Row N, Seats 18 & 20. That's likely the exception, not the rule. Great show and we had a lot of fun!! Good Luck.

My friend got there at 10:40am on Sunday and was 6th in line. He said no one else joined the line until 11:15 and then a bunch more arrived by 12 (not sure how many or how many got tix, sorry). We got Orch G 9-11 which were on the end but full view, great seats. I was in the rush line for Waitress and was able to score evening tickets for that so it was a successful cheap 2 show day! Both shows were great.
