So The Prom rush policy came out today and honestly I’m so happy about it! $40 is a steal!! But I was wondering how you guys think the lines would be? I’m going December 1st and I’m going to rush it’s just idk when I should get there. Does anyone maybe have a guesstimate? Thanks!

Once imagines you'll have a better idea after there is already an entire month of shows and people doing rush, then anyone will know before the first preview...
got here at 10:15, there was 1 person ahead of me.
As of 10:45, there’s 3 of us in line total :)
"
Thank you. Heading there now. Any idea how many rush tickets hey usually give out?"
There’s 6 people in line now. I was able to snag a rush 2 hours before curtain earlier this week so you should be fine. If you want to hop in line with me I’m cool with that too! Just PM me your info

Front row center A108. Little bit cramped since I’m 6ft, but it was manageable. And AMAZING views

I rushed yesterday. I arrived at 9pm (was first there) and by the time the box office opened at 10 there was shy of 15. Seat locations varied and the woman told me they don’t necessarily offer front row so must depend if creatives wants them or something. I got front rower of the balcony. They were marked partial view but weren’t problematic

Any rush reports from this past weekend? I am planning to rush on Friday, December 7th but probably won't get to the box office until about 9ish at the earliest. Think I have a chance still or should I plan to try for a different show?

You should definitely be fine. You’ll probably even be first in line.
i've got 99 problems and a revival of parade would solve like 94 of them
I rushed on November 18th. The box office opened at 12 pm and I arrived there a little before 11:30 pm. I ended up being about 15th in line and by noon there were 30 or so people in total. I didn't stay to see if everyone got tickets but I was able to claim two tickets for the back side orchestra.
I'm traveling to nyc the 29th-2nd and am trying to rush for a bunch of shows. I am planning on going to the Mean Girls line right away and then heading to Prom right after. Do you think i'll have a chance to get a rush ticket if I arrive Saturday around 10:15am? Also do they let you pick if its for the matinee or the evening show? Thanks!!

Unless something changed, MEAN GIRLS is digital lottery only, but you can enter up to a week in advance

I went to the box office this past Friday (12/14) around 5pm after work and asked for rush. The rep said they were sold out of rush, but she could give me a $49 balcony seat. Great seat and view. But be careful of the poles that could obstruct your view in some seats.

I rushed Mean Girls this past Saturday - got in line at 9am, there were 20 people already, grew to about 30 by 10am. And granted they only had single rush tickets when it was my turn, like opposite sides of the balcony - the last grouped tickets went to the people two groups in front of us - so I wasn't able to snag them.
Also as per the Mean Girls FAQ page: "Rush Policy: A limited number of $42.50 tickets may be available on a daily basis and can be purchased day-of at the August Wilson Theatre box office (245 west 52nd Street). There is a two-tickets per person limit on rush tickets, which are available on a first-come, first served basis, subject to availability. Seat locations will vary, and some may be partial view."
So Mean Girls does do a regular rush, as well as the digital lottery and pink wednesday for those curious.
I also tried rushing The Prom afterwards this past Saturday around 10:20am and they were sold out of rush for both shows that day. So I guess it just really depends on the day.
