I'm traveling to nyc the 29th-2nd and am trying to rush for a bunch of shows. I am planning on going to the Mean Girls line right away and then heading to Prom right after. Do you think i'll have a chance to get a rush ticket if Iarrive Saturday around 10:15am?Also do they let you pick if its for the matinee or the evening show? Thanks!!"
Unless something changed, MEAN GIRLS is digital lottery only, but you can enter up to a week in advance"
I rushed Mean Girls this past Saturday - got in line at 9am, there were 20 people already, grew to about 30 by 10am. And granted they only had single rush tickets when it was my turn, like opposite sides of the balcony - the last grouped tickets went to the people two groups in front of us - so I wasn't able to snag them.
Also as per the Mean Girls FAQ page: "Rush Policy: A limited number of $42.50 tickets may be available on a daily basis and can be purchased day-of at the August Wilson Theatre box office (245 west 52nd Street). There is a two-tickets per person limit on rush tickets, which are available on a first-come, first served basis, subject to availability. Seat locations will vary, and some may be partial view."
So Mean Girls does do a regular rush, as well as the digital lottery and pink wednesday for those curious.
I also tried rushing The Prom afterwards this past Saturday around 10:20am and they were sold out of rush for both shows that day. So I guess it just really depends on the day.
