amen, bwayphreak! get these poor people out of rehearsals!! at least they're making bank for it.

I work 13-14 hour days, and I sometimes think to myself, "if they can do it so can i!"

I'm wondering how many of the cast and crew are starting to (or already have) develop strong negative feelings toward Taymor

Jordan, yes- he said on a TV interview (I forget which one, but it was this past week) that they've been rehearsing nonstop and a break would be nice.

Maybe they're finally getting rid of the Geek Chorus?

This week I worked nearly 60 hours...and I have a 15 hour day looming tomorrow. This is not out of the ordinary. But, like most actors, I love what a I do and I don't expect to hear, "poor baby".

"I have to say - the younger cast members in the limelight look ready to leave. During the Letterman appearance, Jenn Damiano looked like she'd rather be anywhere else. She was actually picking at her nail polish while the camera was on her...they quickly took a different shot, but it looked rough. I can imagine that edit room...It also looked like she thought Dave gave away some secret when he introduced her as Mary Jane Armstrong...Then again, she seems like kristen-stewart-awkward when it comes to media...

I thought Reeve Carney looked pretty tired, too...but then again, I can't imagine handling that hectic schedule well at those young ages.

If they had the money the best thing they could do would be close and rework the show till it was great, reopen and have the greatest come back of all time.

When this fiasco began the old addage that any press is good press was true- they were selling well because people just had to see what all the fuss was about.

The show has now turned into a publicists and producers worst nightmare- its become a bad party joke. My guess is there is not a single announcement that could be made this week that would really surprise anyone.

My only worry is that with pre-Tony openings coming in the next two months that good quality shows won't get the media attention they deserve. Broadway has been hijacked by a bunch of ego maniacs who should have known better.

At this point I'm routing for The Book of Morman to cause as much controversy as possible just so I can log onto a theatre site for one week without some bull**** Spiderman Exclusive at the top of the page!

I would be shocked if it closed entirely. I would NOT be shocked if the show took a break for a month or so, and rework/retool whatever it is that they have targeted as the most dire changes needed.

Wouldn't be surprised if they make changes in personnel as well.

My opinion is they will rehearse a new version from show doctors whilst the current show is still running, then close for 2- 4 weeks to re-tech, before re-opening in time for Summer trade. Surely that would be the most cost-effective way.

My feeling is JT may well take a back seat. Mybe a long way back.

Like it or not, this is "JT"'s show. Whatever works, besides the pull of "Spiderman" itself, is because of her vision. Most of what doesn't work also stems from her. If she doesn't recognize that and ask for, or allow, help and filter such help through her sensibility, then I don't know how effective change happens.

Forgive me for what may seem like a dumb question but I really don't know the answer to this and if anyone does, I would appreciate the insight.

Do Broadway actors make different money during previews vs. the regular performances or are their contracts structured for making a certain amount of money per week regardless of whether a show is in previews or not. Also, does their contract start from the first day of rehearsals, preview opening or regular opening? because if it fluctuates, that could be another reason the cast would be pretty pissed if previews are extended for another 2 months.
