They have way too much faith in Last Ship.
Does anyone know what his track record is like?
The fact that they didn't even put Judy Kuhn on their list should be reason enough for nobody to take this seriously. Also, This is Our Youth? Really? And The River??
These are who they want to see nominated, NOT predictions.

^Judy Kuhn!
I know that. And they're bull****.
They're always a bit loopy and often incorrect. In the costume category alone there are 3 mistakes!
Adam Feldman, one of the writers, used to post on ALL THAT CHAT before landing the TimeOut job.
Adam Feldman sometimes is on Theater Talk, and I just want to shave off his stupid side burns-moustache combination thing and put a sock in his mouth. Everything he says is stupid and bitchy.

This is as dumb as the Outer Critics Circle picks.
I actually agree with many of these, and I actually find Adam Feldman to be one of the more insightful critics, typically. I don't, however, understand his and David Cote's love of The River.
Hard to imagine that two of the Best Musical nominees would be shows that were closed before the end of April - lol.
Believe Hallelujah Baby had already closed when it won Best Musical. There has to be other examples.
Doubt it will come to that & either Rotten or Fun will win. The Visit needs it more and I would not shed a tear if it won. Believe since this is Chita's final appearance plus she is great in it, she will get the Tony. Sorry Kelli. If you need a shoulder to cry on , look up Susan Lucci who eventually won an Emmy

Bring it On and A Christmas Story closed way before April back in 2012.
Mr Roxy, according to Wikipedia, Hallelujah, Baby is the only musical to ever posthumously win the award.

I hope they're right about Hugh Jackman and THE RIVER.
And let's not forget that Hallelujah, Baby! won that award 47 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then.
I'm not surprised that he remembers This is Our Youth which could easily see getting a best revival nomination. I think he's completely wrong about Delicate Balance getting a nomination. The reviews for This is Our Youth were much stronger than for Delicate Balance. Clare Higgins is very likely to be remembered for that production.
I realize these aren't his predictions, but Kieran Culkin is much less likely to get nominated for This is Our Youth than Michael Cera might be.
"Bring it On and A Christmas Story closed way before April back in 2012."
That says a lot about the quality of musicals that year, they were probably nominated because they needed something else besides "Matilda" and "Kinky Boots". This year these is a lot more quality musicals to choose from so I can't see either one of these getting nomination for Best Musical but that is just my opinion.
Julie Halston seems to be the one person, along with Ashford, getting nominated for You Can't Take It With You. I thought she was hilarious, so I'd like to see her recognized.

Well, that clears things up. I was wondering if he was either an owner of a hardware store who knows nothing of Broadway, an aspiring jester from the Renaissance who found himself in the 21st century, or an ALL THAT CHAT poster.

Both Feldman and Cote know much more about theatre than I would imagine the majority of people here. And there's a something a bit pot/kettle about insulting someone anonymously on a message board for posting anonymously on a different message board.
As ljay said, this is Cote and Feldman's wish list, not prediction- there can be no "mistakes" made here. They also obviously had to negotiate with each other, as their tastes and opinions are very different.

ok, maybe I was a bit too mean and weird (don't know what I was thinking) in that post. But I really hate his Theater talk interview as someone said earlier. Sorry. Was having a trolling moment.
