I'm in the States so I set my alarm for 2:50 AM to wake up so I can get a ticket. I registered for the pre-sale access and got in queue with 1500 people ahead of me. When it got to my turn (maybe a 15 minute wait), I was able to snag a ticket in the stalls for the final performance on 8/3. I'm glad I got a ticket. I wasn't planning on a trip to London in August, but now I'll have to plan at least a weekend trip for this show.
Comparing to Broadway prices, it wasn’t bad. Front dress circle for £125 and if this were on Broadway there’s no way a front mezz seat would be less than $250

Agree. Row A in the Stalls (which may or may not be the front row) was £95.00. There's no way you can get seats in the front orchestra on Broadway for less than $200. Plus they only charged £3.95 in fees. A bargain when compared to what Broadway charges for fees.
I suspect you’ll see the same kind of fervor here in the states, if (when?) this transfers, as has been rumored - especially if it’s a limited run (though selfishly, I wish we’d get Holland in a musical).
By comparison, front row at Little Shop is going for over $300 with Darren and Evan.
On a related note, I know the front row can be a little problematic at some West End theatres - I think the Pinter is particularly bad - how is it at Duke of York's?

I have not been in the Duke of Yorks yet, but I have been in some of the older West End Theatres like the neighboring Garrick Theatre, and unless you're tall, sitting close to the stage from the stalls might not be a good idea. The Duke of Yorks Theatre looks pretty intimate from the circle so those will probably be the best.
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
Theatremonkey says the first row is great value for those "willing to accept neck ache". Reader comments (admittedly a self selected group) didn't find the high stage too much of a problem (except for a production that jutted out).
The stalls for this production has Rows AA and BB before beginning at A again. The pricing structure for rows AA-C were the same when I was purchasing my tickets, as well, so you could slide back as far as the fifth row at the same price (at least when I was looking).

I'm thrilled Francesca will be Juliet! I got to see her perform last summer in African Mean Girls Play during my London trip and thought she was great.
The online abuse/harrasment hopefully will stop. If any of the theatergoers wish to get a refund, I actually hope they'll honor a refund so they can resell the ticket to people who would love to see the play with Francesca in it.

Freema Agyeman as the Nurse is fantastic casting! She’ll be amazing

Easy to assume, tougher to make a reality considering Holland's schedule.
Plenty of other high-profile things have not moved to Broadway (Cumberbatch Hamlet, Blanchett or Anderson's Streetcar, etc) despite rumors that they would.
Maybe they'll REALLY make tickets tough to get and put it at the Shed or the Armory.
Patiently awaiting Tom Holland and Tom Hollander to do a two-hander.
