Oh god, don't listen to anything amoni says. I've never seen a bigger pill trying to chastise other people for their negativity. Long in the mirror, peaches!
Awwwww, Phyllis Rogers Stone, a legend in his own mind.
At least Phyllis is in good company.

Do you know of cases where it's used in live theater, if it is?

I liked the poop joke. Too bad the whole show is a poop joke.

Just a reminder: I hated that show after episode 1. The main reason is I can't believe ANY of you can abide the crap they sing or the way they sing it.
I can promise you that 95% of all recording artists use Autotuner on their albums. Yes, even the talented singers do. Jason Mraz, Carrie Underwood, Norah Jones, etc. etc. It's a standard step in today's post production of professional albums.
It saddens me to see a cheeze list like this. There's a whole world of performers who record organically, don't alter their sound with computers, in fact, many people use ANALOG recording processes for a warmer sound than digital.
Expand your horizons, please. Don't settle for Journey covers.

Hey now, I hated it from episode 1 as well. I just can't stop watching because the worse it gets the more rabid its defenders get and it makes a big old pot of crazy stew to keep me warm on these cold winter nights.
I'm with you, Phyllis. I watch it every week and hate it every week.

I love to hate it. I will admit that I laugh here and there, and that Puck is dreamy, but I just don't understand the rabid adoration this show engenders. I mean, I guess that gay boy, sassy black girl and show tunes all sound good on paper, but it's just completely all over the map in tone and presentation.
How, for example, are we to reconcile the warm and gooey Sue with the Down's Syndrome afflicted sister with the insane loon who wrote that crazy diary a few weeks before?
Why is Will with Terri if she was as much of a bitch two years ago? Didn't he say she used to be nice?
Why is Will suddenly worried about what's appropriate to sing?
Why do they keep singing songs that have nothing to do with anything, even though these mythical sectionals seem to be getting closer and closer?
Why are all these people willing to let Finn take the rap for Quinn's pregnancy?

Why do the close-ups on Matthew Morrison when he sings make me son uncomfortable? I don't think we should ever see that so close up.

Why is Quinn such a bitch to the only people who are nice to her?
I agree on all of these points and more, lol. It's so inconsistent, and yet consistently predictable and subpar.

I remembered Quinn's mom from Days of Our Lives like twenty years ago. I think her name on that was Evie.
OMG I KNEW SHE LOOKED FAMILIAR!!! She was Eve Donovan!!!!

Yeah, wasn't she Shane's long lost daughter or something? She came in as a wild teenage vixen?

She was also on this brief 80s sitcom I loved called "The 5 Mrs. Buchanans"

My DVR is busy Wednesday nights grabbing Old Christine and Modern Family.
Today there was a work email from my boss to our department about our holiday party. Said boss and many colleagues tease me for loving (some good) musicals and in the email it said "We'll have snacks and a Yankee Swap and watch episodes of GLEE." I mean, WHY?

Yeah, that needs to stop. You should contact HR.
I love when people are like "Well, I don't usually like musicals, but GLEE...!" It's not a musical. It's just not.
GLEE doesn't conflict with anything so I keep watching. I should probably just pull the plug, but like I said above, I freely admit I love to hate it.

It's funny Phyllis I agree with every one of your complaints--and yetI kinda don't care. I find the show brainless, stupid and fun and have given up even trying to see any true connections from episode to episode--they pretend to be a serial, but for the most part the continuity is on par with an episode of Scooby Do (and then they throw in a few crumbs to those who still think it's a serial with random lines like teacher to crush "aren't you still dating Puck?" etc).
Still even with no Sue this week was much better than last.
"GLEE doesn't conflict with anything so I keep watching."
It conflicts with MODERN FAMILY which is all kinds of deliciousness. You must start watching it, Phyllis! It's a better way to spend your time and only 30 minutes.
GLEE will always be there... on www.fox.com... if you want to see the train wreck bad enough. Haha!
It conflicts with MODERN FAMILY
And COUGAR TOWN, which for me was the biggest surprise of the season. I expected it to suck, but it's absolutely wonderful!
As much as I wanted to like this show there were just too many plot inconsistencies and I couldn't get into it. I stopped watching when the wife had decided to hide her pregnancy and she and Will went to the doctor for her to get a sonogram. That scene in the doctor's office was so nonsensical it was ridiculous.
And I can't stand how overproduced the songs are. It totally overshadows whoever is singing. I definitely spend my Wednesdays at 8 watching Modern Family.

Sorry, I meant my DVR didn't have any conflicts when Namo was talking about DVR overload. I love and adore Modern Family and have been rather surprised at how much I've enjoyed Cougar Town, which I didn't expect to like at all.

Also, I think the whole Kurt/Finn thing is becoming cringeworthy. The kid has know who he was since he was three, but he thinks that smack talking about a girl and trying to eff up their relationship is going to turn a straight guy gay?
