Matthew Morrison + David Foster + Mark Shaiman? That could be a pretty potent combination.

I'm still enjoying the show a lot and I know it can't be taken too realistically or seriously... That said--didn't episode 3 feel oddly positioned to others? We have had only TWO eps (really only one) of the teacher fighting to keep Glee, and already afte rone comment about hsi choreography he's ready to give it up essentially for an acapella group?? Shoudln't this be a storyline used as filler in some ten episodes or later in the season? And that's another thing for so early, it was basically filler--except for Kurt kinda coming out,a nd the introduction of Garber and Monk (which was an odd role--were we meant ot believe no one cared that his mom would get so drunk and lost? I know it's filled with humoru like this but tha tjust seemed odd) Nothing major changed from the start of the ep to the end in terms of development. Even the big routine we saw from the other school was just a less impressive version of what we saw in the pilot with Rehab (maybe this is fair--the song they used was Duffy's Mercy, and Duffy is just a second rate Whinehouse anyway )

Couple of nice bits tonight:
The gay kid coming out to his dad & the football team doing the Beyonce dance.
I think this kid has a bright future.

It also touched on the inappropriate songs the school sings (I know! It's a fantasy world! It's its own reality! ).
I was never really a fan of Cheno until Pushing Daisies, a show which made me love her for all time. Glee should spin her off into her own show. Now.

Tonights episode was a sloppy mess. There is so little carryover from week to week that you really feel nothing for these not so likeable characters. The production numbers are looking less inspired and oddly enough the performers look tired.
I wasn't surprised to see that they're launching a tour of the GLEE cast. It's the only way to keep up any momentum they may have.
I loved this weeks episode. I really didn't like this show in the beginning, but I think it's getting better every week!

I liked how everyone song but one was overproduced and autotuned.

Also, shouldn't something have tipped Will off when he made an appointment with the OB/GYN? Were they not curious why he made an appointment, since Terri and her sister didn't see him until AFTER Will made the appointment?
Phyll - what did I tell you about that "rational thinking" stuff?

But it's the show's fault! Why make every song sound overproduced, except for one when they are all singing together? Why root for a guy so stupid that he stays with his harpie of a wife who has been pretending to be pregnant for however many months have supposed to have passed? Why does the fact nothing on this show makes any sense (in its own world or not) not matter to anyone?
because Puck is pretty to look at?

Curses. I'm like a cat distracted by a shiny thing and can't remember what I was bitching about now! Damn you, Tink!
"Why does the fact nothing on this show makes any sense (in its own world or not) not matter to anyone?"
For the same reason that some people (myself included) enjoy Mamma Mia. It's one hellava lotta fun, so we overlook its shortcomings.
There's more, but since Tink already gave another good reason, I'll leave it at that...

But I would argue that at least in the world of Mamma Mia, everyone is in the same unreal place.
I think the mawkish crying of Matthew Morrison at the end of the episode will be burned on my brain forever! Good thing Will doesn't watch tv, see movies, or ever knew anything pregnant woman, so they can pull the wool over his eyes!

:) It's part of my charm!
exactly, Tink...in the same way that he thought KChen's character was just making friends with the football players...

I accept Will's naivite to the point of absurdity in the same way I accept that Sue sends the Cheeerio's dry-cleaning to Europe or that Finn doesn't know his right from his left. It's just the way it is, and when he finally does wise up (and he will...probably around the end of the season), it's going to be some major fireworks, which I look forward to seeing...Will just isn't made for deception, so he doesn't understand those who are...
Exactly, yoemansden. In the words of Blanche Du Bois, "I don't want realism. I want magic!"
You just compared Glee to Tennessee Williams, and that makes me sad...
