I am sure this will be deleted shortly as it’s way off topic.  But I’m hoping my advice reaches you.  DON’T VAPE.  DON’T SMOKE.  Find yourself a good gummy or edible .  Won’t destroy your lungs.  Also some reality star had a vaping induced stroke recently.

According to their website, regarding the change in the show title:

WHY THE “DON’T?”

After doing our own research, vaping, it turns out, is dangerous for your health (with the possible exception of strawberry-kiwi flavor – studies pending).

Once we learned that popcorn lung is not a concession snack, we felt compelled to change our show’s messaging – out of concern for public health, and respect for the ongoing sensitivities within the theater community.

Don’t vape – it’s bad for you! But do see DON’T VAPE! The Grease Parody!

What a weird last dittch attempt to move tickets before it closes its limited run in a few weeks

I saw this today and had a good enough time. As far as these Off Broadway parody shows go, it’s a lot better than most of them. It loses steam about halfway through for a while but never enough so that I was ever bored. The girl next to me was miserable though and the small much older seeming audience didn’t seem to pick up on (or find funny) the numerous Scientology jokes (I found hilarious) and several other jokes and gags geared toward Gen Z. 

It’s a very specific cross-section of people this will appeal to and at least today, those people were not in attendance.

I saw this in March at Town Hall as Vape! The Grease Parody, where it was staged as a one-night benefit concert with people including Kerry Butler,  Rachel Dratch, Joel Perez, Jackie Hoffman and Ann Harada. I haven't seen the new Off-Broadway version, but I thought it was extremely stupid in the best way. I'd recommend it.
