Whoa!! I heard this might happen as a rumor. As of this past Sunday, they were both completely Spanish still.

Let me also say...
I won't be surprised if the original ending makes its way back...

Oh wow.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.

For the record: the only parts of "Pretty" in english was the "Have you met my good friend Maria?" part.
"Boy" was pretty much first verse in English, second Spanish, third part English, etc etc. Maria also now switches back and forth in her "it's true for you" section.

Doesn't that just make it more confusing? Why would it be on and off?

Should've just left it in English to begin with.

I'm so excited if they changed parts back to the original.

It didnt confuse me, but I was never confused with the Spanish.
I've seen/been around many bilingual families (Spanish, Taiwanese, French) who go back and forth in a single conversation. One will ask a question in Spanish (or whatever language) and another will answer in English.

Off Topic (PM me if you you don't want to reply in the thread), what was changed in "Mary Poppins?"

B3: I heard they eliminated or are going to eliminate Temper, Temper (on Broadway and tour) and replace it with another song.

Yeah, I might have gotten it mixed up. I think they already did the change on tour and are thinking of transferring the change to Broadway.

"Temper, Temper" was still there as of the Wednesday mat. Although, even as an adult...that song was pretty creepy.

Well, it was in the show in July (on Bway). I just don't know how I feel about that change. I loved that whole section of the show. You know, the parts where Cameron Mackintosh's influence was actually apparent.

Yeah, the new song is already in the tour. It's called "Playing the Game".

Could this be because not all the understudies are bilingual?

I heard if the Mary Poppins change is happening, it will happen when the new Mary joins in October.
I went to West Side Story on Wednesday evening, and all was in Spanish.

Really? I've talked to her in perfect Spanish. Maybe she guessed in advance what I was going to say and learned the answers phonetically.
