Clyde, PERFECT!!!! Yes. That is how I felt. Oh my effing god. Sara is a brilliant songwriter and I cannot wait to see how she does in musical theatre

LOL! Wynbish, brilliant. I really am a Sara fanatic if that wasn't obvious. I am already nervous and this is probably years away... But what a way to start in theatre - with the Weisslers and Diane Paulus. Wow!

This is exciting news! I love this movie and Sara Bareilles. I'll definitely be following the show's progress. I'm hoping it gets off the ground sooner than later.

I'm not really a fan of Sarah, but her music seems like an ideal fit for this project.

As I remember this movie didn't get a wide distribution, had to go to another city to see it and I loved it, everything about it.
It is in my library and one of my favorites but I love Kerri Russel, ever since Felicity.

Love, love, love the film. Its all the more poignant as I watch it to think of what happened to its wonderful director (and actor) Adrienne Shelley... such a tragic loss. I cry whenever I see it. I love the idea of transporting this beautiful story to the stage. I'll be crossing my fingers for Sara and the entire creative team to make magic happen.

I believe it's on Netflix's instant watch for any of you who haven't seen it.
The story behind the film is actually pretty great to with the director passing away before the film was released.

RippedMan, I don't mean to seem humorless or self-righteous, but your comment seems pretty tasteless to me. The murder of a talented young mother and wife isn't a great story. It's awful.

Sounds charming. And I'm excited to see Diane take on a new musical or two. This feels like a natural fit for 2nd Stage.
