hey! i didn't get welcomed either!
angel dies in a hospital bed with collins at his/her side. there's an image of a t-cell getting destroyed by the HIV virus, then you see the church and the funeral. very quick.
threadjacking, yes, haha... sorry i'll stop too... we should just make a rent screenplay thread

aww that's so sad! i hate it when angel dies.
Yeah, we really should...anyone want to? Should I?

That ending actually doesn't sound too bad to me (I've still been debating whether or not to read the whole thing and haven't read that yet)
...plus, think about it, how incredibly jolting to most audiences would it be if he dies while having an orgasm-I know it could be done, but it may be "odd", even if rightful to exist it still might*-maybe even especially if there's no song Contact either, which I *think* was said by Anthony...*checks* yeah...
*Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, it might be a better way for Angel to go (dying during an orgasm, as per Heredia's quote), but I don't see any major issues with him dying in a hospital either (it would be more quaint and silently impactful as opposed to in your face life just disappears from him)
"I didn't get a welcome either"
...me neitherneither (but that's okay, it's not like I announced my arrival and demanded a welcome :) )
Lol, sorry, Emcee...I seem to have started a welcome trend.
For anyone who didn't already see it, BEKA very kindly started a screenplay thread for us.

thank you all for your words of welcome.
I very seldom have time to surf for fun but stumbled across this page the other day (a friend of mine told me about it...)
What fun to know that RENT still inspires so many - the way CHORUS LINE and other inspired me.
I met Priscilla Lopez (the original "Morales") at an audition the other day and was able to personally thank her for her legacy...
I'll check in from time to time... it's fun "chatting" with you.

Well if you do find the time or are just bored at three AM, someone's always on this site to chat with.
Can I ask what you're up to nowadays? I heard something about writing plays.
heh. Three a.m.
That'd be me.
That's great that you got to meet Priscella Lopez and tell her how she inspired you, fwb.
Do you mind answering questions? Do you still keep in touch with the other OBC members? I'm glad you found our little world here! Don't be a stranger!
We promise not to bite. Much.

That'd be me."

"We promise not to bite. Much."

yes, we tend to do that together, NTG. ok, back to the screenplay board! talk to you there...
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/7/04
NTG, I wanted to know that too and I actually PMed him. (yeah, I'm a freak, I have to know this stuff.)
He doesn't like Oreos. According to the data I've gathered thus far in my study of Oreology, that means you need pyschological help.
Freddi, may I ask you how you like to eat your Oreos? I have a wierd thing about asking people. Anyone else is welcome to answer too.
Broadway Legend Joined: 11/4/04
i eat oreos normally... i take a bite of the entire thing... no weird splitting apart and just eating the cream for me.
I can't eat Oreos...too much sugar.
omg FREDI WALKER!! WEEEEE I love you!! okay I should stop since this is an Anthony Rapp thread, but if I may ask you one questoin and if you don't mind answering, how come we haven't really heard from you since Rent, how come you're not doing the Rent movie? or are you? okay that was 3 questions sorry
and erm..i eat my oreos with milk lol...

yes i keep in touch with most of the OBC... and the Larson's
I will always consider us a family.
as for me, I'm married now to a great guy and that balances my life alot.
I spent a couple of years in Barbados (his homeland) getting married, living, raising my stepkids (whom I adore!), recouperating (from RENT) and finishing my first 2 screenplays.
I've been back for a couple of years - spent the first doing LION KING (Rafiki) and making way for my husband to join me here in the States which he did last year and we've spent that time getting settled.
I'm mostly doing commericials (lot's of voice overs) writing, directing and working on an Arts Ed project I'm into.
As for B'way - when the next great role comes along I'll do it... I'm spoiled, I must say.... after RENT and then LION KING... ya know?

Now comes Emcee's major "geek out" moment. Well, best of luck to you, whatever you decide to take on!
Oh, and I think we've learned something from those um... big official welcome threads, no?
