With the pms and whatnot . . . yeah, so I joined after I lurked for about a week and pmed Anthony after reading all of the stupid board drama he got caught up in. He hasn't written me back, and I no longer really expect him to. Yeah, it would be unbelievable if he did, but he's a busy guy and he probably gets 50 pms a day. ::shrugs:: It would be great, though. ::sigh::

I haven't seen him on in a while. Maybe he got fed up with all of the crap.

It's too bad we chased him away but I see how we did. Also what is it with that thread that's saying RENT is the worst musical turned into a movie of the year?

As much as many actors say that part of the territory is learning to take the good with the bad, and developing a thick skin, I can't imagine how you can take it. I mean, eventually, a point comes where it's just too much. The stuff that goes on can't NOT sting.

And honestly, at this point, the bad overshadows the good. Because now the people who did like it are being told they're delusional and this and that, and it's getting hard to fight back. The people who say that stuff are making the fans look like idiots with no way out, and the poor word of mouth is becoming more powerful than the good -- not that it matters, because we're nearing the end, but... still.

none of that makes ANY sense!! There are sooo many people out there who love RENT and just b/c some people don't doesn't mean that they should be so rude. Besides this is the biggest thread, am I right? Plus we all love Anthony

No, but it is one of them, I guess.
Case in point, see "worst filmed musical" thread. Shoot me.

Hi new peeps, and welcome... we're crazy but fun. I'm sure there's been a few of you since I last posted. Ha! I do suggest AIM and our fun chat... new people always being welcome.
And Anthony was mostly posting about the Rent movie since he's been back. I'm sure he's said as much about that as he can. It's unfortunate that people thought is was necessary to bash him and the movie. Ah, well... he'll probably show up randomly with news on his current projects (well, I hope he does). I'd prefer, however, that there would be a message board on his website. That way... maybe only his fans would sign up. (Yeah, I'm optimistic)

Hmm a message board on his new site would be awesome, but he may be scared to after all of us!

Maybe he's just busy.
I wouldn't blame him if he was scared, though.

He was actually on for a few minutes last night. Maybe checking PM's or something?
I saw a bit of the threads where everyone was talking about how much they hated RENT, but I didn't read long. I can't stand that kind of negativity. Movies are meant to be enjoyed. If you can't enjoy them (ie spend the whole time judging and criticising), go read a book and let the rest of us have fun.
Jyn, happy birthday!:) I'm in Tennessee, in a tiny town outside of a small town outside of Memphis. It's a town filled with nuts. Hopefully I'll make it out one day, heh.
caitiesus, you made me feel better about talking to him, but I still don't know. Unless I PM him about it, this is something I would likely *never* talk to anyone about. I have to decide if I'm tough enough to handle it being "out there".
I saw him in...can't remember the name of it. It was a DVD a friend of mine had. But I also saw him in Road Trip recently. His character tripped me out because I know so many people like him. Oh, I've also seen Far From Home, which I've loved since I was but a wee lad. Those are the only films of his that I've seen.

tacos, if you have something you really want to talk to him about, go ahead and pm him. It isn't going to hurt you or him to do that. He may answer, he may not. He may not even read it, but if it is something that is that important to you..you might as well take the risk. The worst thing that could happen would be that you got no response, and you won't get a response if you don't ever contact him either.
EDIT: assuming your PM isn't just another I LOVE YOU YOU ARE SO GREAT one...

Yeah, I'm mainly just trying to decide if it's something I want to talk about at all. I wouldn't really expect him to reply, so it's really just an issue I'm having with myself.
LOL No, it definitely wouldn't be that kind of PM
