I'm having a lot of fun seeing such wonderful theatre fans share their opinions and personal favorite songs/shows on numerous threads during quarantine, so I figured I'd offer up this question. Personally, I'd like to have Over Here! get its time in the sun once again. It's such and underrated show, and something else I like about these message boards is the amount of love for that show whenever it's mentioned.
I can't wait to hear what shows you all say!
Literally anything.
Except BKLYN.
OVER HERE! with Liz and Anne Hampton Callaway as the DePaul Sisters (the Andrews Sisters track) and Patricia Birch’s original choreography recreated.

This is everything I need. I LOVE your vision.
We also desperately need “Dear World”.
I don't know if the Bernstein estate would allow it, but 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. That music is far too good to go on as the shambling, gutted, pseudo-operetta version it's in now.

Yes. With Bernadette or Buckley!
Are they still doing Off Center? I’d love to see the revised Urban Cowboy.
Annie Warbucks!
Such a great score.
New Girl in Town with Katrina Lenk is what I’m pushing for. It’s a so-so show, but the score has tremendous charm, so it’s a perfect choice.
Greenwillow, too. Really big on that getting done. And I’ll add my voice to the Dear World chorus. They did well by Herman this year, so I’d like to think his estate would continue to work with them.
I feel like Encores is the only place I'll ever see Red Head or Take Me Along.

Take Me Along was one of the first shows I saw many many years ago in summer stock with Forrest Tucker in the Gleason role. I drove my mother crazy until we could find the OBC recording and played it constantly. Even now, all these decades later, some of those songs pop in my head for no reason. It's a funny, lovely show and score that would do well with the Encores treatment.
I would like to see them do "A Class Act - A Musical About Musicals"
I kind of want Encores to do “Funny Girl” because I have a feeling it’s the only way we’ll see a production of it.

That's a great idea for their gala show--that way we can get a big name who may no be able to commit to a long run.

I’ve said for ages that I want them to do Fade Out-Fade In, preferably with Leslie Kritzer taking on Hope Springfield/Lila Tremaine.
Kismet- could only work now as a concert. I love "Gesticulate" ( I know it was done but I still like it)
Maybe time for Allegro again ( maybe Sondheim can fix it finally!)
Sideshow? I think it would work better as a concert.
And I know I'mm gonna get booed- Working. Again I think it would work well as a concert.

Working was just done last summer as part of their off-center program.
"
I wonder if they'd be willing to Kander & Ebb's adaptation of The Skin of Our Teeth

"I Can Get It For You Wholesale"
And another vote for "Take Me Along"; years ago I thought the perfect Encores! leads would be Nathan Lane, Victoria Clark, and Bobby Steggert, but I'm not sure any of them would be interested at this point.

Darling of the Day
Another show perfect for Victoria Clark.

SMILE. Never done anywhere and it's primarily a female cast.
The Life and Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk. Two shows I don't see being revived any time soon in America...
