re: Who do you think would make a good elphaba?

Well I dont know a lot about broadway or anything and I am new to this board so excuse me for not knowing as much as some people on this board. I just asked a few questions so there is no need to be rude. Excuse me for not knowing who ana gastyer is. I saw wicked on broadway not chicago so dont expect everyone who didnt see the chicago version to know who played elphaba

I doubt they are never actually going to make a film... and if they do, I probably wouldn't watch it.

Can you imagine... some random *current* teeny-bopper from Hollywood playing Elphaba?

*shudder*

I think most peole with and without knowledge of Broadway and Wicked should know who Ana Gastyer is.
Idina: This is called a kielbasa! Pianist: It's called a 'KA-basa'... Idina: It's called a kabasa? Oh, a KIEL-basa's a sausage, isn't it? I CAN PLAY THAT TOO! HULLO!!

Im sorry elphaba, but I have to disagree with you, Shoshona is now Broadway material, and definatly not Elphaba material. My love is with Idina, Stephanie, and Ana. I hope Ana comes to Broadway.

Much of the magic people find in Wicked are in the effects. Glinda coming down in a real bubble wouldn't be as fun as the large mechanical one and on screen that would be without point.

And if Ana does come to Broadway, I may actually be able to drag my girlfriend to see it! That would be wonderful. Her initial refusal was, "You are going to make me go see something starring that b**ch that moo-ed in Light My Friggin Candle???"

re: Who do you think would make a good elphaba?

I didn't see Wicked in Chicago... and I know who Ana is.
But whatever

Wicked the movie isn't going to be made for a while, unless someone like Reese picks it up and makes it. And considering that it has a tour and a show on Broadway right now, the producers are probably going to wait till later to make the movie so they make more money. Also, of the five year contract thing... that still remains to be seen.

I have no idea if that made sense to even myself... oh well

Reese Witherspoon is too blonde(legally blonde, lol) to play elphaba but she would make a fab glinda. She would be perfect for the role. I really hope she can sing.

Idina and Taye are coming back to be in Wicked again!
But this time... Taye Diggs will be playing Elphaba!

Do we really need another one of these types of threads?

Wow..um..your nasty. Thats all I have to say. If you dont like the topic or want to answer my question then maybe you shouldnt even read it. I am new to this board and most everyone has been so mean. Get a life!

re: Who do you think would make a good elphaba?

I am going to reiterate what I said before... I don't think you know anything about Wicked, but maybe that was a bad assumption on my part for thinking you knew anything about it.

I'm not trying to be cruel or anything, but...
1. You didn't know who Ana was
2. You don't know anything about the tour
3. You can't spell Shoshana

but then again, I am crabby today... so I'm sorry if this is taken the wrong way?

re: Who do you think would make a good elphaba?

Listen korea, i dont claim to be a wicked expert. I am on this board to ask a few questions about the show that I dont know the answers to. If you dont want to participate in this topic than just dont post. Being nasty to me because i dont know as much about wicked as you do is not a good way to contribute to this discussion board. I just saw wicked last week and thought I'd come talk about it. I know that I know nothing about wicked. Thats why I am here. To Learn More. So quit with the attitude before we start a second korean war.

But these questions can be easily searched for...otherwise they've been talked about too much. Trust me, BWW might need a Wicked/Idina Menzel board soon.
