Javi!!! I was thinking about you. So glad to see you're still out there. Do you remember the joke about Fresca? Javi is like fresca, sometimes he's missing for a while but he always comes back!
I’m still here! Been here since 5/2003. I read more than post usually. Have loved being apart of this group.
It is pretty cool that there are quite a few members still here from the beginning. I signed up almost a decade later but still here over 10 years. I rarely post anymore, usually the monthly theater quiz and to create a tennis thread. Members come and go but I miss posters like "Artman" and "Mr. Roxy". I know "Mr. Roxy" drove some people crazy but he really did have a good knowledge of theater. Congrats to all the original members still around.

I agree about Whizzer. Their reviews were better than the majority of the critics. I recall back in the day some posters would come down on Whizzer for their reviews which I never understood. It’s unfortunate if that is why they stopped posting but can understand completely.
it is still disheartening to me that a few of the better posters have left because of some of the more obnoxious posters that always seemed to spew their animosity to try to stay relevant here.
Not part of the of the founding group, but will be hitting 20 years here later this year. Wild. I was a high school sophomore.
I was mostly active on musicals.net back then, then gradually shifted over here as that place fell apart. I may have joined here earlier with a different username, but I honestly don't remember.
I'm pretty close to the start. I lurked and then joined.
I miss reading Margo Channing's posts.

Long time member, occasional poster here. I had a different account in the early years but I've been here!

ChrisLovesShows, it's so hot in Sydney, I could do with a Fresca right now. :)
It's great seeing some of the gang from 22 years ago.

I remember migrating from the Broadway.com message boards to here- I was a teenager! I believe I officially joined with my initial username (bwaylvsong) circa 2005. I mostly lurk now but can’t believe it’s been over 20 years!
I've apparently been on since early high school and loved learning about the history of Broadway, all the stories, from posters then. It's bittersweet. That was a special time, when I first regularly started going to shows and it all represented so much. Now I have a life in theater and it breaks my heart and gives me unbelievable blessings all the time. The form itself, this iteration of it that has been running for a century, feels in a particularly fragile place culturally and my relationship to everything I thought was immortal history has changed and complicated and deepened so much as I've grown up. Just where my thoughts go thinking about that kid twenty hears ago.

I was probably lurking in 2003 and joined in 2004. I'm still angry at the person who took the name "Rentaholic" and then never showed their face again, leaving me with "Rentaholic2". (not that I would choose that name now at any rate!)
If you look back at posts from those first few years, it's funny how clear it is that the average age of the active posters was much younger than it is today. If you think the board is obnoxious now...
I'm so old I'm posting on this thread just to see when I joined because I have no clue how else to find it.
Can’t believe it’s been almost 22 years. used to post quite a bit in the early years, now I take a look once in a while to see what people are saying about a particular show/topic.
2007 for me, tho I recall being a lurker for a while before joining.
I’m part of the original cast, a refugee from the Broadway.com board! I joined in July, but that was after lurking for a month or so.
It took some time because I remember that a lot of the original users of this board were on the younger side, so the initial conversations were not very inspiring. There was actually a lot of praise for “Dance of the Vampires” which always makes me laugh.
My biggest claim to fame on this site is I was actually real life friends with the famous MammaMiaSammy.
I'm still here, and joined in 2005 and have loved every minute of it since.
I met WithoutATrace shortly after joining the site on one of my trips to NYC, and we have been good friends ever since, and always get together when I'm in NYC.
I think I joined the first time in 2006, though this account stems from 2011 (but by then I had already left Montreal though used basically my old screen name.)
