Harvey Fierstein

Hahaha. But as much as I love Harvey, whould they be able to get his fat ass in the air at the end of "Defying Gravity?"
Hmmm...guess that rules out Sally Struthers, too.

They have the technology to lift him up, I'm sure.

No, I do not have anything against fat people. My family is full of them.

Amen, Morosco. Robert Goulet all the way.

I agree - give it to Goulet. When he forgets lines or lyrics - no great loss.

Sara Ramirez...seriously. I coul see her in that role, but she has the operic-ness for Glinda too.
A dancer might dream to see her name in lights and mean it,
but all she really dreams is to make someone
else feel the way she did when she first saw a dancer.

I wonder if Sherie Rene Scott could do it...

Actually...I'm all about a black girl getting it at some point. I mean..Saycon and Brandi are the stand-by and understudy, respectively. Why not let either of them take the role on?

Why does it have to be a "black" girl? How about a girl who can sing and act the role, regardless of her race. But, I would love to see a lesbian take over the role...hehe

Although I've never seen her in it, I feel bad for Kristy Cates being moved around constantly as the stand-by for Elphaba. Assuming she would want to move up full time to the role, I think she should have a chance finally.
