Yay for Helene Yorke and Jon Rua. :)
Jon said this music was friggin amaazing. He did some of the choreography for me and it looked amazing too. I think this might end up being amazing.
Sorry, HOW can the vapidness of Bring it On be amazing? Sure, the dancing certainly can be...but good lord.
And I hardly think you will find any working actor, telling you the new gig that is paying them is anything less than stellar.
Can Bailey Hanks finally return to Broadway :P?
"And I hardly think you will find any working actor, telling you the new gig that is paying them is anything less than stellar."
You obviously don't work as an actor lol
Yikes. Someone didn't get the movie. Despite what you may think the film was actually widely adored by audiences and critics alike. It's called satire.
Agreed, Cate. It may not be "La Règle du Jeu," but it's certainly not vapid. It's really a pretty sharp little comedy, along the lines of "Legally Blonde" or "Mean Girls." Let's just hope it spawns a better musical than the former.
"Bring it on" has a mediocre imdb rating and fair rotten tomatoes rating. I think "adored" might be too strong a word.
I heard talks that Dequina Moore was going to return to star in this in Atlanta. Idk what happened? I love her and hope that she gets to perform in this on Broadway at least if it decides to open. She is a good performer and her riffs are great.

The original film was "adored" enough to spawn (evilly) two sequels... which just speaks crateloads.
Someday Broadway is gonna run out of vapid material to adapt. Oh my god, whatever will it do then???
The original film was "adored" enough to spawn (evilly) two sequels... which just speaks crateloads.
four sequels.
(yes, I've seen them all)
(don't judge)
I wont judge based on the sequels, because the first film was evil enough, thank you.
A musical? Blecchh.
I've seen all the sequels too. While they don't have the same wit as the original they're not MST material either.
Average person's reaction to that TV Commercial: "From the Tony Award winning composer of ??????????, the Tony Award winning writer of ?????? ?, and the ?????? prize winning composer of ???????????ormal!"
That's the commercial? Seriously?
Man, who got the marketing contract for this?
OMG! I am so psyched for this!!!!!oops! Sorry,my inner Valley Girl just lashed out.
No, need to apologize, hottieho13.
